Boeun Climate
Summers are warm in Boeun with highs of 23-24ºC in July and August, which are also peak rainy months with 29-31 cm of accumulation. Winters are dry and cold with lows of -6 to -9ºC. May and September are truly the most pleasant months to visit.
Getting There & Around
Cheongju International Airport serves Boeun, and there are extensive roadways around North Cheongju such as the Gyeongbu, Jungang and Jungbu Naeryuk Expressways. The Jungju, Seoul-Busan, Chungbuk and Gyeongbu rail lines serve the entire region and offer service to Seoul as well.
You may walk or bike in town, and cheap express buses will take you between the cities and across the region.
