I have to say that the reception at the first day was great but unfortunately ended up with a shocking surprise during the check out when I found that I have to pay around 120 USD "700 LE" for using some items from the mini bar, the prices are absolutely far away from any sort of reasonable pricing policy and under any kind of measures, for example, the price of the same size of bottle of water at any restaurant or bar in the same hotel is 13 LE including taxes and is 20 LE excluding taxes in the mini bar, same thing with other drinks so if you need to drink water or any other drinks you better call the room service to save your money and what caused this problem is that the price list in the room was not clear as there were two prices on the same list, one was handy written and the other was printed. The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet in the hotel were not 5 stars buffet as the variety in all were not 5 stars hotel varieties and the quality also was not good

Taking into account Cairo as a whole, Sonesta is really an oasis of tranquillity and comfort! It offers several dinning options, friendly service and all the necessary perks of western accommodation!
