Sonesta Maho Beach Resort & Casino St. Maarten Guest Reviews
5 minutes from airport. Staff is very friendly. I was not satisfied with room because I wanted King Bed. Manager personally took care of my request and also upgraded my room. They also have a courtesy room to use to change clothes if you have to check out, but do not have a flight until later in the day. I only stayed 2 nights on my way back from another island . I wish it could have been longer. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is an excellent location for eating and fun things to do within walking distance. Hotel bedding needs new items.

The hotel is nice enough, but check in with a reservation from O rbitz was a complete disaster. Upon arrival, the desk person indicated they had no record of our reservations. I had my O rbitz confirmation number, but the hotel apparently had no way to contact O rbitz to straighten it out. I contacted O rbitz customer service. It O rbitz customer service TWO HOURS to get the reservation straightened out. Meanwhile, we were not allowed to our rooms untill the whole mess was "confirmed"....relegating us - extremely tired - to sit it out in the lobby. No apologies were offered by either the Hotel or O rbitz. I will not stay at this Hotel again and I have lost complete faith in O rbitz for Hotel reservations

October, 2011 we were driving through Marigot cyclists ride up throw rocks through window shattered glass and shouted block car! Another cyclist stopped in front of the car. I fought with the first guy who was trying to get into the car I was able to keep him out I drove forward toward blocking the cyclist and he ran away. I tried to call police and rental agency no answer. Tried to call police French phone number 17 and the phone said it wouldn't call. We came home 2 weeks early. For your own safety we advise you not to go to St. Maarten! We have been to many different countries and never had an experience like this before!

The food at the restaurants was of a bad quality. The breakfast served was of old American standard, fat and lots of sweets. The staff at the restaurants were unkind, especially the leaders. The Point restaurant was worst restaurant we visit on St Maarten. There are lots of good restaurants nearby. The main hall has a smell problem. The air is full of fungi’s. It is a real problem for asthmatic persons!
