Somerset Chancellor Court Ho Chi Minh City Guest Reviews
There was no resturant in the hotel and no money exchange office. The brekfast was served in the nearby cafe which was ok but the brekfast a little poor. The reception staff very good , gentle and helpfull.

Great customer service from the front desk, bell boy, housekeeping & Gymn. Provide good information on taxi ( Vina & Malinh recommended ) Recommended trustworthy local tour to Cu Chi Tunnel which cost US$5/person (excluding entrance fees of US$6) Cheaper to book when you are there rather than thru the internet which is higher. Pho24 shop just opposite the service apartment with reasonable price (VND$38,000) for a standard bowl of "beef Pho". Also there is a convenient mart located next to the lobby of the service apartment & in-house guest get to enjoy 10% discount of all purchase. We will recommend families with young children to stay @ this service apartment in the 2 bedded suite which is huge & I was told that they have changed the furniture recently. Just to highlight that the service apartment is about 20~30mins by walk to the main shopping area but u can always take a taxi which costs VND$15,000~25,000. (>US$2)

A bit pricey for what you get. A good walk down to the main shopping area and markets. You need to catch a taxi which are usually available at front of hotel. The breakfast buffet is small - not a lot of choice. The service from staff when requested was very good.

It was a thoroughly enjoyable experience in this hotel. Although I used it as a business hotel, it is also a good hotel to use for a family getaway. The kitchen is quite complete, the toilet is clean and attractive. The room comes with a DVD player for watching those $1 movies you can buy off the streets and it has a nice supermarket downstairs. Breakfast spread was minimal though. However there are not many sights, shopping, attractions, food joints near by. Walking to city center is about 8~10 mins. I will definitely use this hotel again.

The service from the staff was excellent. They understood everything we asked for and could deliver, something we didnt encounter in most places in Vietnam. Unfortunately the breakfast at the Highland Cafe was terrible and really lets the hotel down but there is a Pho 24 across the road as an alternative though this didnt suit our young children.
