Very comfortable quiet hotel within walking distance of city centre. Great breakfast and very hosptiable hotel manager.

Soggiorno Michelangelo was a great place to stay--the only problem was the location. If you don't mind walking, it's fantastic, but it isn't exactly convenient to many of the sites of Florence. The distance is definitely walkable though (and the street/area is very safe and pleasant), and there is a bus stop near by. Oscar, the owner, speaks fluent English and is more than willing to help with anything. The hotel is cute and the rooms are very nice. I was in Italy a month and Soggiorno Michelangelo probably had the best bathroom out of all the hotels I stayed in! If you don't mind walking, I'd definitely recommend it!

Oscar and his wife were very welcoming and went out of their way to be helpful. It`s a small hotel and is not easy to find but the value for money make it worth the effort. If you`re in that area try a restaurant called Perseus - the steaks are enormous and can be divided between two.

The hotel is located on the second floor of a building with the reception at the upper level. The location is reasonable, however, a little further out than I thought. However for the price, the room and location was good. The room does not have cable TV.
