Sofo Casablanca Hotel Old San Juan Guest Reviews
We selected 'late check-in' but when we arrived our room had been given to someone else. It took them 30 minutes to locate a room in an unpleasant hotel up the street. Next morning we were able to check in and found the staff and decor charming. Three downsides were no internet, concrete floor in the rooom and no window in the room!!!! The main reason for staying here is the location right in the middle of Old San Juan. Don't stay here unless you are going to be able to phone the hotel a couple of days ahead and on the morning of your arrival to confirm.

Plus: in the heart of Old San Juan, interesting decor inside and outside the rooms, clean, people are nice and accommodating Minus: noisy (from the street), no elevator

Extremely nice staff; got upgraded to a suite with a balcony; I was traveling alone and it felt so restful , nice without being invasive; each of the staff gave me very good tips on where to eat and what to see; What a comfortable place! Close to everything , and you can rent a bike and bike to El Condado where the beaches are. A perfect mix.

The staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel is very convenient as it is right in the middle of Old San Juan and near shopping and is in walking distance to the Cruise Terminals. The hotel has no elevator, but the staff will carry the luggage up to the room. Try to book away from the front street as it becomes very noisy at night.

Small boutique hotel in the heart of Old San Juan. Interesting night life. Had a DJ in the lobby/bar area on Friday night. Slow bartender service - he had to look up how to make some drinks. Rooms are quaint, but very small and lacking amenities. Most important was hot water issues. luke warrm water in the sink on Friday evening turned into COLD water for Saturday morning showers. The hotel was clean, and they probably did the best they could with 200+ year old facilities
