Sofitel Miami Airport
4 out of 5

We arrived early in the morning and the courtesy bus picked us up immediately. We did not have to wait to get into our room and there was a good breakfast in the restaurant. Air con. was not heating on this unusually cold day and it was repaired in minutes. Room was spacious and comfortable and we were taken by shuttle to the port to begin our cruise. Only downside to this hotel is that it is so far from any shops or restaurants. Perfect for anyone going on a cruise.

Overall it was a decent stay. The staff was very accommodating, very knowledgeable, and overall very friendly. The room was ok, I got a Junior Suite, and while it was clean, I did expect more from a 4 star hotel. The food was good. I had the best Salmon Pizza ever! Will be making that at home. But overall I was just expecting more from a 4 star European based hotel. Wasn't impressed.

The hotel in and of itself was very nice - but there was an extra charge for EVERYTHING (or so it seemed). There was a charge for parking, a charge for the WiFi, the restaurant in the hotel was also over priced (~$20 for a breakfast buffet; $8 for a scoop of ice cream). There is a Starbucks in the lobby - but even that was MUCH higher than the one at home ($11 for a tall latte + fruit/yogurt/granola parfait). Hotels that are considered to be 'lower class' do not charge for parking or WiFi. There are other places to eat - about a mile away. Thankfully, we had a car and the parking allows in & out privileges. You need to exit the hotel to use the work-out facility - and we had to go through a private party on the patio to get to the work-out room. If you are here for only 1 night and without a car, it is an OK value - but they will 'get you' for the food. Lower rating due to all the items that required an extra fee.

The hotel was lovely and the room was nice. It was a problem that I wasn't told that there was a parking charge until we checked out. I would have taken the rental car back sooner if I'd known. It also would have been nice is a place that billed itself as a luxury hotel had a heated pool and more than two towels in the bathroom

The hotel wasn't very clean and had a terrible Oder I wouldn't suggest this hotel to anyone not worth the money I spent. I won't be staying there again.

It was pouring rain the entire time we were there. Being stuck at the hotel wasn't a bad deal at all. Staff is very friendly. It has a nice lounge and pool to relax. We were surprised at the quality of the restaurant. Usually it's over priced "fine dining", but the food and service was actually great. Room was very clean and the bed very plush. It's right near the airport but not near anything else unless you have a car. There was a nearby Cuban place we walked to that had great food as well.

It was nice the staff showed us great hospitality. The hotel it self was gorgeous european theme. It had all the amenities we needed, very beautiful pool and we had a great view. We were close to the beach, the mall, plenty restauraunts, and the airport. Overall I loved it and when we return to miami I will gladly go back to the softiel.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Nice touch: most of thrm speak French or at least greet clients in French. The food is quite good but too expensive compared to European standards.

The hotel was excellent. The personnel was always available with friendly assistance and did far more in comparison to other 4* hotels, the Sofitel Miami Airport should be 5*. I shall defintely visit it again!

Staff were really friendly and the location of the hotel is excellent near the airport. Best thing in my suite was the bed! It was so comfortable and huge. One thing was missing in the suite was minibar - though staff told me there isn't minibars in any rooms, which seems to be some kind of "american standard". Another thing I found confusing was the internet connection. There were wired and wireless connection in my suite. First I choose to use wired connection (which was biiiiiiig mistake). After a while I would like to use wireless connection, but surprise surprise, the service provider was different. So if you choose first to use wired connection and you pay for that, you will have to pay the same amount again if you want to use wireless connection as well!
