Sofitel Hotel Philadelphia

A great hotel stay! Everything was extremely comfortable and easy save two things. First was that I had to call to the front desk to have the room cleaned at around 3pm when I came back to the room and found that housekeeping never came by. That was a bit weird IMO but they came by quick and did a good job. Second is the fact that parking is so expensive but I guess that might just be due to location. Otherwise my stay was perfect. The bed is super comfortable. The location is amazing. Lots of restaurants, shopping, museums, markets all within walking distance. I loved the reading terminal market which is less than a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The room is larger than expected and all the staff were friendly and helpful. Would recommend to others and would stay again.

Love the Sofitel. This one is nice enough but needs renovation and isn't up to the level of others. Also, had to deal with noisy, inconsiderate patrons, which probably has to do with how cheap the hotel is in January and the fact that it's Philly after all.

Easy ride to hotel from airport plus easy parking downtown plus great staff, great junior suite plus great breakfast. Always stay downtown because Philadelphia is easy to walk, safe and has a plethora of quality restaurants. Never stay in the suburbs, Philadelphia invented cool!

This is the third consecutive year my girlfriend and I have ventured up to Philly from DC for a quick anniversary weekend getaway, and stayed at the Sofitel. The room is always immaculate, the bed incredibly comfortable and the bathroom chic elegant. The staff is wonderful, and always recognize that we are returning customers, we even got a free upgrade because we were celebrating out anniversary. Centrally located about a block from Rittenhouse Square and a ton of restaurants. A little pricey all around (room, drinks at the hip bar, and particularly parking), but well worth it.

My husband and I traveled from NYC to visit Philly for the weekend. While Philly did not meet our expectations this hotel did! Very nice service and our room was cozy. The hotel was the best part of our trip!

The Sofitel was wonderful. We were only there for one night, but the location, service, luxury, were just right. Clean. Comfortable. Surprisingly within our price range. We want to go back.

The complimentary internet was very slow every time we used it. We found the staff (with a few exceptions) were not overly friendly and a little bit judgemental. The hotel was in a good location, and the hotel was very clean.

Very central location in downtown Phili. Good spcious rooms. Would have preferred a buffet breakfast option to the a la carte but the breakfast order I put in, was not a la carte and still catered for. Laptops are being advertised in the handbook in the rooms which I wanted to avail of (as I had a problem with my own one) but it wasn't possible when I investigated nor was the concierge aware of that the hotel was offering this facility. The computers in the bar were always busy and the nearest internet cafe is quite a distance away.

The hotel is very conveniently located close to public transport facilities. Plenty of excellent restaurants in the area (check Noble). B'fast at the hotel is very French, of good quality but quite pricey. Valet Parking was terrible ( took a long time to get the car back ) and very expensive. Staff is OK; some very friendly and helpful others less. Our suite was big and pleasant with large sitting area. Nice welcome products from l'Occitane.

This hotel was fantastic! It is really true that everyone that works there is friendly and helpful (vallet service, concierge, front desk, bar staff, restaurant staff, cleaning staff, etc.). The rooms were large, VERY clean, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable. The location in downtown Philly was perfect in a relatively central area so things were close or easily reachable by a short trip on the public transportation system (SEPTA). The only thing we would have liked to have in the room is a coffee maker, but there is always complimentary coffee/tea in the hotel restaurant in the morning from approx. 6-10:30 am.

A very good hotel. Stylish, modern rooms with comfortable beds. Delicious breakfasts. A central location, with the tourist spots around Society Hill are easily accessible by bus or cab. I was there for a conference and it was perfect for my needs. I imagine it might be a little pricey for families, however.

Nice ambience, very charming hotel. Great location, friendly staff. Service and decor comparable with the priciest hotels in town. We'd stay there again in a heartbeat.
