The hotel is Great, the food is really fantastic. I recommend with great confidence. I need to add some details that have nothing to do with the Hotel, but with ORBITZ. I like to review Orbitz by it self but I was unable to find a web side to do. I found every thing to write a review for, except ORBITZ by it self. So here it goes. I made the airline reservation for my trip. Systematically the web side tells you “that if you make the hotel reservation and the car reservation together with your flight reservation you get a MUCH better deal”. So, I did it. I also requested that if there was an change in the airline price to alert me. With in hours I got an email, the airline price had gone down tremendously. The entire trip was less than 50% of what I had paid. Immediately I contacted ORBITZ explained the situation, give them the web side, the prices, the code for the reservation etc.., and guess WHAT? The toll me to take a hike, well, not exactly like that, they just came up with 1001 reasons why they could not change my reservation. So, people, if you want to pay full price go for it, but if you want good honest service, where if the prices come down the company will apply it and honor the changes, look for a different travel agency. Polite staff. Complimentary juice during checking. Room was very good. The little pastry shop was awesome. The fitness center was fine - modern equipment and the room was big enough. It would have been nice if the hotel had a pool. Also, at the end of our stay they emailed me some other guest's receipt.

My 9 yr old daughter and I stayed at the Sofitel recently while in the Twin Cities visiting family. We loved the French flair of the hotel and the boutique-like touches. A wonderful aroma from scented candles greets you each day in the lobby, and the staff welcome you with a "Bon Soir" or "Bon Jour". Our favorite was the charming little patisserie on the main floor, where we bought scrumptious croissants and pastries to share with relatives. Dinner at Colette one evening was memorable. Our room was stylishly decorated and clean. The lack of a swimming pool was disappointing to my daughter. Every staff person we interacted with was personable and helpful. Overall, a great experience here. Close to major freeways, airport, and attractions.

hotel was nice enough, clean, tasteful, helpful staff. The problem I had was with the nickel-and-dime way they made me feel gouged. $10/day for internet access - in this day and age even Motel6 has free wifi!!! No coffee maker in the rooms, and wouldnt you know it, you need to shell out $5 at their coffee shop to get a little cup of coffee to go. Not the money, its the feeling of being taken advantage of that I didnt appreciate. Wont be going there again.
