Location
The Sofitel Dubai Jumeirah Beach is located at New Dubai, 12 km from the Dubai International Airport. It is situated on The JBR Walk (Jumeirah Beach Residence). This 1.7 km long waterfront community has residential towers and hotels, set along the beach. There is also a retail strip behind the towers featuring 300 retail stores like Saks Fifth Avenue.

Hotel facing the beach with a fantastic view of the gulf and many restaurants within walking distance. But be prepared to be stuck in traffic if you drive back to hotel at night. There's only 1 road to the hotel and it's a one-way 2-lane road. Imagine the traffic from everyone living in the private apartments and hotels and dining at JBR

A great new hotel opened in summer 2010. Very plush and sophisticated decor. Fantastic location just off the beach and on the doorstep of a long run of cafes and restaurants.. We never ate in the hotel once. Its all on your doorstep so why pay 5 star prices for food when there is ample good quality food at half the price on the street level. The rooms have a new 7 layer matress concept in bedding that some will find too soft. This is deliberate but made my back hurt due to lack of support. The rooms state beach view but unless you buy the double priced ones facing directly onto the beach then you will get a deluxe room that has an obscured view of the sea due to the high rise next door. The room was very nice and had a balcony but there was an overhead hum that could be heard all night and disturbed my sleep. I pulled down the inspection tile in the bathroom to find loads of pipes running above the ceiling that were responsible for this noise.

Sheer opulence. Fantastic hotel. Super comfortable bed. Excellent service from all hotel staff. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Jumeirah Beach. Very close to the beach and restaurants.
