Sofitel Budapest Chain Bridge
5 out of 5

I stayed with my adult daughter during a conference and the 3 for 2 deal was excellent value. Comfortable beds which can be moved apart and great views across the Danube. French attitude and style (stereotypically good and bad). The only problems were low water pressure in the shower and very slow free internet. Proper wireless access in the rooms could only be purchased for 24E for 24 hours. The friendly business centre offers 15 minutes for free and shorter paid time periods.

Excellent hotel - location, comfort and value. Reception staff very professional. Had a room overlooking the river, chain bridge and Buda castle. Hotel is central and of the highest standard. Visit the central market hall (closed Sundays) within walking distance from hotel. Try the fish soup and beef goulash (second floor). Budapest is a beautiful city, put on your walking shoes. We found the 24 hr metro card to be of excellent value (see tips). Didn't buy the Budapest Card .

the best situated hotel in the city; Staff are most helpfull and the club lounge was exceptional. hope to return for another stay sometime in the future... wonderful property. BUT like all fine establishments they place great value on visitors paying a little more than the average because of the location and the anticipated amenities, beyound a fare value the in house restaruant/s were expensive fare for the endulgense of the food.

We are travelling through Europe for 33 (thrirty three) driving a leased Citreon from PARIS to Istandbul and return to Paris in 33 days almost 5 weeks. 11000 kilmeters. The HOTEL LEONARDO PRAGUE was the saving GRACE for us in Prague; it's a medieval city like Dresden and a lot of rebuilt cities following the great war. The staff and the location are fantastic great value for money via the club internet site. the staff we found very helpful as they all but one could and would converse in English; the lad in the restaurant was a typical arrogant German but his measure was quickly determined and suitably non rewarded. Could not say anything less than a great value site.

Our welcome to the Hotel was warm and very helpful with great advice on local attractions. The Hotel is very comfortable and extremely clean and well presented. Situated at the Chain Bridge we had an excellent view of the Chain Bridge and Royal Palace, which was a picture at night. A big thank you to the staff as we had a very enjoyable stay. I highly recommend this Hotel

Internet crashed on room TV and was never operable. Housekeeping was very slow. No face washers were supplied and had to ask daily for some toweling. Irons were leaking water (replaced 3 times but they still leeked). Had to ask for coffee satchells in the room most days. Electric power plug and computor wall connector falling off wall. One lift was out of order most days.

Everything about our stay in this hotel was positive. It is clean, quiet and ideally located. The staff could not have been more helpful. I would stay here again without any hesitation.

Great amenities but they did not work. The music system looked great but did not work I reportedbthis only to be told there is nothing they can do as it was Sat. The air con did not work 36deg and the room was unbearably hot again there was nothing they could do it was after all Saturday. English tv consisted of CNN sky news and BBC news. Pay per view $20.00 movie old movies Mini bars are always expensive but this hotel takesmthis to a new level. We spoke to people staying at the intercontinental who were veer happy. So I guss I will stay there next time. Can not recommend his hotel.

A clean hotel with an excellent location. Beautiful view from the hotel room over the Donau. Only the breakfast did not match the expectations because a lot of the hot food (boiled eggs ect.) was cold. The weekendrate is very attractive for this luxery hotel.
