We went to Washington state for about a week and stayed at Skyway Inn the whole time. It was a mistake not becuase of anything about the price or the quality of the inn. The inn was REALLY close to the airport, but kind of far away from everything else. We have to drive 3 hours each day to the national park of our choice, and 3 hours back to the motel. I will book only two nights (arrival and departure) only with any hotels nearby the airport next time. As far as the inn goes, it has passable continental breakfast. It is located very close to the airport and within walking distance from a convenient store and a gas station. The carpet is disgustingly dirty -- probably has never been vacuumed since it was built. Our socks were stained black from walking on the carpet (before we left the room). The maid does not change the sheets unless you leave a note specifically asking for it -- even if specks of wood chips or whatever that was were spreading all over the bed. I don't regret my choice (the price was really decent and the location really convenient), but it was not perfect.

The shuttle to the airport was our main interest as we flew into Seattle the night before our cruise to Alaska. The room was clean but outdated, and we weren't too crazy about the walk at night behind the check-in building to get to our 2nd floor room. The continental breakfast was the usual fare along with a waffle maker that wasn't functioning completely. The people at the desk were friendly and helpful enough. If you want a basic place to sleep, it's fine, but not as a destination.

The hotel did not have our [...] registration so we got stuck with a small hard bed on the third floor. Room smelled funny. Thankfully we were only there long enough to get a little sleep and move on.

The beds were comfortable but the blanket had a burn hole in it Something in the room smelt like old stale smokes this was a non smoking room. Headboard beat up. Remote did not work. A bunch of cars were parked in the entry way I am sure that a firetruck would not make it in if needed to. 3 times I awoke from the sound of rolling suitcases big gap in door you could feel lots of missing chunks of flooring under the carpet we were on the 3rd floor how long before someone falls threw to the room below? A building close by is fenced off and looked condemned. Staff got angry when we asked about the hot tub NO HOT TUB! HOT TUB ROOMS! No alarm clock no bible or I would have prayed for deliverance.

Best of all, family own and run the hotel. Staff friendly. The lady, owner, always smiles. Hot waffle, cream cheese w/ bagel... free breakfast. Rooms, all rooms got refrig. and microwave! I found my perfect hotel to go to next time I go to Seattle. And the hotel rate was the best. Free airport shuttle. Easy bus/light rail ride to downtown. And Safeway just 10' walk away...

I wasn't offered a room at the inn in the picture (on-the-web). It was a very old motel and the room was gound level. The sliding window couldn't lock and the door was jammed. I was told there were no other rooms available. Needless to say, I did not feel safe and searched and found another hotel to stay in.

This hotel is nothing like its pictures. There are no mountain views. There is no parking as the hotel uses parking lot for hotel parking. The maid only came by 1 day out of 4. DO NOT STAY THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think I would really recommend this to any of my friends. The drains sucked (well technically they didn't...the water wouldn't even go down the drain very well) I was afraid that somebody was going to bust down the door cause it wasn't that stable (in my opinion). It was the cheapest and the location for my plans was perfect. It was clean. Just wasn't up to par with more expensive hotels. For a one night stay it was alright and I could deal. The customer service kind of sucked too, they weren't too friendly.

I stayed at the Skyway Inn during a recent business trip. The experience was nothing like it was listed from the site ordered from. The service was terrible, the staff were rude and unfriendly, parking was limited, the room definately had seen better days...overall I did not feel secure or safe at this hotel. The service received from the customer service agent at check in to the management staff and housekeepers to the final customer service agent at check out left me utterly speechless. The CSR's were rude, unhelpful and derogatory at times. Parking was limited. Three nights of my five night stay I was unable to park at the hotel due to insufficient parking spaces. I was forced to park two blocks away at an unlit park and ride location. The sence of security was quickly diminished. The room was absolutely scary! The door had a gap where it did not close properly. I could see daylight through the 1/2 inch gap. There was no deadbolt for added security. There was a piece of extra trim leaned up against wires that ran up one side of the wall to hide them. An electrical cap was not covered exposing all wires, some live wires. The bathroom had black mold around the caulking and tile work while the carpeting outside under the sink was cut short exposing particle board. The night stands were broke, the drawers could not be opened. Two electrical outlets were inoperable and the rooms were not stocked with a clock, hairdryer or iron as indicated on their hotel descriptions. The refrigerator freezer compartment worked however the refrigerator did not. The microwave would not hold a normal size T.V. dinner (lunch size portion) and did not cook it...even after a 10 minute battle. Each night the door key would time out and each tennant would have to re-register their keys at the front desk. Having come in at various hours of the evening to battle a nonworking key was more than stressful and proved to be a safety issue. The free wireless internet connection was not available during my stay with no explaination from any hotel employee. If a negative rating was available I would have selected one however a one star rating was only available. Please use caution when selecting this hotel.

Prompt free pickup at Seattle Airport after I called them on the courtesy phone, adequate room with TV, ample self-serve breakfast, free internet computer in lobby. This is value for money!

Good for the price, rooms clean and a good size, breakfast decent, airport pick up effecient. The location is reflected in the price though, not in the best part of International Blvd and we were none too keen to walk too far for dinner so our choices were very very limited.

Nice clean hotel/motel. Good transfers to and from the airport. Great breakfast. Friendly and helpfull staff. Free internet use! Location far enough from airport for noise not to be a problem. I recomend it. We stayed there twice during our recent visit to the US.

We stayed at the hotel so we could be at the airport at 4AM for our 6AM flight. We checked out at 3:30AM and headed to the airport. The weather was very bad, heavy snow and ice. all flights were cancelled. We returned to the hotel to see if we could get a room for another day. All rooms were booked, but the receptionist let us return to our old room to rest until the regular checkout time of 11AM. Her consideration made the experience more bearable as the kids got to catch up on their sleep before we took the 4 hr drive home through the snow and ice.
