We were surprised that we were able to find a hotel room two days before travel. The room was large, clean with two queen beds. A refrigerator and safe were two great amenities. Crystal in concierge services was especially helpful. We did not use the indoor pool, but it looked clean with a staff member in attendance. Valet parking for $10 was a bargain, but there were clearly way too many cars for the available space-we were thankful there were no dings and dents.

Hotel was located within walking distance of Rockefeller Center, 5th Avenue, Times Square, Macy's, Radio City Musical Hall, Top of the Rock, Columbus Square - as well as the subway entrance to get to the 911 Memorial. Hotel room was clean, quiet and more than adequate for our needs - however, the HVAC unit did not work and the room was terribly hot during the night. We had to open the window to cool it down. In all fairness, though, we did not report this to the front desk, so I'm not sure how they would have handled it. The desk clerk on Tues evening was very helpful when I was trying to print out boarding passes for our flight home the next day. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting NYC and looking for reasonably priced accommodations.

This Hotel is well situated, only a couple of blocks from Time Sq, Broadway, etc. The hotel was very clean too, which is a big plus for me. I should have really kept this to myself, because I can see this becoming very popular with tourists in no time! Great deli opposite too. Hope to go back again soon.

This was my first time in NYC, and I'm so glad that I stayed here. It was within walking distance to everything I wanted to see (of course I enjoy walking). Only a couple of blocks from Times Square, Rockefeller Center, and Central Park. And it's also only two blocks from the subway. It's in H*ll's Kitchen, which is not a bad area. I felt safe just walking around at night with my sister. Close to a good 24 hour deli (at 9 ave and 51 st). The staff at the hotel was considerate, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are not the typical 5 star experience, but they had everything I needed and were CLEAN. We paid $10 a day for internet, had free cable (on a flat screen tv), and a huge, comfortable room. I would have felt comfortable living there. If you want to see New York but don't want to stay in the middle of Times Square or other tourist areas, I highly recommend this hotel.

we were really satisfied with our stay at the hotel, can't say that it was super cheap but it is the new york city prices, and for the 3 star hotel it was very good! it is off Broadway - too far if u are moving around with heavy luggage but just perfect for a little walk when we go to new york next time we most likely going to stay there again (if only we find even super cheap deal lol)

We reserved a double queen room and got upgraded to a double king - the room was fantastic (though would have preferred the view on the other side - but was able to check it out from the pool area) The location is very convenient to Times Square, the theatre district, Central Park etc. The beds were comfort foam and were very comfortable. We will definitely go back to the Skyline Hotel>

Not being a TV watcher didn,t know about the breakfast, as it was put on the hotel channel, or so I was told. Would have liked tea/coffee making facilities, these are what people expect to find. Also being charged for the use of a computer was another hidden extra. The hotel needs a front of house that is more welcoming, pity as if these things were sorted it could have rated better.

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean and a good size for NYC. Wish we had more time to use the hotel facilities especially the pool and fitness center. Check out the pool at night. There is a great view of the city from the pool area. There was just too much to do in the Big Apple. I loved the location of this hotel.

We had a great experience at the Skyline. Room was very clean and spacious (deluxe double). We were in what looked like a newly remodeled section so everything was new. The only negatives were the tub didn't drain well and the towel rack kept falling down. Parking was a steal at $10/day. When you get there make sure you take everything thing you need out of the car. They won't let you get to the car once it is parked. Within walking distance to Times Square.

So I booked the Junior Suite for my 25th birthday weekend. I read a lot of reviews and initially, I was a bit scared because I thought it would be this broke down, somewhat dingy hotel. With all that, I still booked it because it was in a great location and you can't get better in terms of the price. I went in with the idea of just having a hotel where i can sleep and shower. BUT, this hotel was wayyyy more than what I thought it would be. It was beautiful inside, my suite was huge, clean, bathroom was clean and the counter was beautiful, it was a comfortable sized bathroom. I was actually excited for my friends to see where I was staying! When they came, we were all comfortable to the point where it was hard to even leave. We had flat screen tv's, 2 queen sized beds and a queen/full sofa bed. I don't think i would even look into staying elsewhere on my next trip to NYC, i'll definitely be at Skyline again. The hotel it self made my birthday so special with all the low expectations i had, it went way above it! It was literally just 3 or 4 blocks from the heart of Times Square, so close enough but still far enough from the noise...perfect. The neighborhood was pretty chill, restaurants and bars right across the street and the next block over. The hotel staff were nice and helpful when needed. The pool was um, well....i wouldn't go for the pool, let's just say that.

This is our 2nd stay at Skyline and I would absolutely stay there again. The room was immaculate and roomy enough for 4 of us. There's a mini-fridge which comes in handy. The view of the city skyline is great. A short walk to Times Square, the theater district and lots of eating options one street over on 9th street. Or enjoy City Lights Diner just 2 blocks up at 10th & 51st.

Overall ok. Negatives: really hot in the room, very noisy air-condition, bad breakfast deal: the buffet was empty for most of the time, very expensive, served in a basement with no windows, bad service. Do not eat breakfast at the hotel! Positives: Very clean room, which is something I value a lot! Good location.

I really can't complain about this hotel. It was a great deal! The staff was very friendly and helpful! The room was great!! The perfect size for a couple. The hotel is a short hike from most of the places you want to visit while in NYC but nothing a good pair of walking shoes and a bottle of water can't handle, and if you really can't handle that the cab fairs are cheap getting around. It was less then $10 (including tip) for us to get from this hotel to the Broadway theater we needed to get to. I could not have asked for a better first visit to NYC!
