Skylane Hotel Gatwick Guest Reviews
Staff was very friendly and approachable. Being collected from and to the airport was a great help. The room was large and comfortable, and provide a good night's sleep. Nearest pubs/restaurants are quite a distance away unfortunately (20 minute walk). Would definitely stay there again for overnighting near Gatwick Airport.

Got a great price, only there for a few hours but clean and pleasant enough. Close to airport and the taxis via the hotel are cheaper than those at the airport.

Room in poor state of repair, beds very lumpy & uncomfortable, no aerial wire for tv. Empty sugar wrappers, dirty cups & no teaspoons. Excellent breakfast. Very quick transfer to Gatwick.

the hotel says it is undergoing a substantial refurbishment although I could not see any evidence of this. The restaurant staff were not very friendly and only spoke when spoken too. You could have stood for an hour waiting to be seated - they would not volunteer that you could choose any table. The Hotel has NO lifts and most of the bedrooms are up one or two flights of stairs. The lobby is dated and dark. The restaurant the same. The food mediocre. The bedrooms & ensuite clean but the beds were AWFUL - lumpy and hard. I doubt I would return at any price!
