I enjoyed the look out on the geyser and hot pools. Room was a good size and met requirements.

I arranged this hotel for my daughters when they were visiting Rotorua for 3 nights. The room is of fair size, beds and amenities were fine. Pool is great with hot water spa. The decor is a bit old, might come through during the refurbishment. Free breakfast is alright @NZ standards. Very convenient with good car parking space.

There is no need to go anywhere to see boiling mud and steaming geysers. Just sit in a comfortable lounge chair and look out the window and watch the changes ten metres away. Very meditative. Helpful, friendly and happy staff.

The hotel is tired, but still has a great location for viewing the geothermal area. The rooms are fine and the staff friendly and helpful. I would certainly recommend it and stay again.

Poor customer service, pitiable hygiene and the only plus point that may be is the proximity to the thermal valley provided you like the smell of sulphur but there are more quality accommodations available within the town. It was so obvious that the bed sheets were not washed from the previous customer use and you will be surprised sometimes to find condoms in your drawer. The receptionist never bothered to offer or remind the free breakfast available with the booking though we deliberately missed it! Better choose some other place!!

Very basic room, clean enough, but in obvious need of a facelift. The whole place looks very tired. Swimming pool needs a good clean. Good breakfast and value for money. Thermal area right next door is good to look at from the garden, but our room had no view of it which was disappointing - maybe we should've requested one?

The hotel is located right beside the geysers and mudpools at Rotorua, so you get to see them for free. It is abit tired but was comfortable.

While this hotel is getting very tired and the owners are aware of this, we got a half price special and an upgrade to a lovely large suite. I see by the new survey pegs that changes are on the way, so we will be trying to get another weekend away at these special rates before the upgrade The four free private spa pools are a delight to use, and enjoyed using one every day of our stay, also the $27 two course dinner was very good value

Friendly cheeky staff including the contract cleaner we met. The view was an unexpected treat. Great value. Breakfast needs an upgrade on top of the upgrade we paid for. Enjoyed the spout pool.

Very good location - near thermal park and just a few minutes' drive from town centre. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room basic but clean and comfortable. Alas, it was cold and rainy so we didn't try out the nice-looking outdoor pool.

1. booking sheet said check in 12pm, we were turned away till 2pm 2. toilet leaked all over bathroom floor 3. mattress around 20 years old, musty smell in room 4. web description said "well equipped gym" - no equipment was functional 5. web said laze by the pool - it was filthy and clearly not in use 6. web said soak in the hot tub - it was filthy and empty 7. sauna was not functional either 8. breakfast supposed to close at 10 - doors locked at 9.30. 8. When feedback provided to staff, manager did not care! We paid for 2 nights but left after 1, it was that bad

Had have a very good time there, love those room on the front of the geysers. Very lovely and friendly staff. The only thing I could say as bad point but it is really nothing but I read another feedback and it had happended to someone else so I think best to mention it: its just that electronic key didn't work so we had to have another one to another room but wasn't so bad and it was resolve in a very friendly way and fast.

Apart from the nice views this stay was very disappointing. Reception staff friendly although over breakfast felt very awkard while the manager was speaking in an awful manner to another staff member. There was no record of booking that was made online. Rooms and pools were gross! Mould throughout bathroom. TV didnt work, linen was stained. Will not visit again.

Were placed in a room with view of mud pool, very small! Despite 3 of us checking in there was only 2 towels in room able to get 3rd from reception. No towels avaliable for Hot pool. !. Carpet was frayed in doorway of room, kept treading on carpet tacks, numerous requests for this to be repaired still ike it when we left. 2. hot points and hair dryer not working in bathroom. 3. Spout pools need a repaint badly! 4. Resturant not open the Tuesday and Wednesday nights that we stayed during school holidays. 5. Not value for money. 6. Why when you book on line do you get inferior rooms? 7.Would not consider staying here again

The hotel was great with the price I pay for and with a good view of mud pool and guyser. The only thing to improve is service staff who inexperience in hotel receptionist and not very helpful. We go to collect our suitecases in the evening which was kept in the function room it was very dark and we have to ask for his kind help to find the switch to turn the light on for us. We don't know the place well at lease his enthusiasm to offer a help would be great appreciate we saw him just sat behind the counter. The hotel is a bit out of town of Rotorua quite a long walk to city centre.
