Location
Silvermine Beach Resort is set in the south eastern coast of Lantau Island in Hong Kong and is only eight kilometres from the airport. On the island, holidaymakers can take the Ngong Ping 360 Cable Car to see Tian Tan Budda and Po Lin Monastery.
Rooms

Silvermine Beach Resort Hong Kong Guest Reviews
The hotel is located in front of calm beach. Mui Wo ia a very local place in Hong Kong. The hotel has a restaurant which provides various range of foods. Taxi from the airport costs 136HKD. Between Mui Wo and Tong Chung, there are frequent loca bus services. I stayed in South Wing. The room was clean and had enough spaces. The buffet breakfast is acceptable though the range of foods is limitted comparing with other 4 or 5 star hotels. I will go back to the hotel when I visit Hong Kong. Your can easily reach Central by a first boat. I recommend you to hold "Octopus card" when you stay in Hong Kong. You can use it for subway(metro), bus and boat.

Ideal place for those who prefer to stay in a rural, quiet area with nice beach. Less traffic, no tall building, but need to take ferry to downtown Hong Kong (30-45 min). Old facilities but enough room size in comparison with other three-star hotels in downtown.

Second time there and love the quietness of Lantau compared to downtown. Love walking along the beach.

A great place to stay for a stop over to get over jet lag. Lantau Island so different to other islands and very quiet. Hardly any traffic and some great walks. Only a 30 min ferry journey to main islands and ferry trip very cheap (a couple of English pounds). This hotel is a few mins walk from ferry terminal and is best looking in town. Very cheap but as other reviewers have said don't expect bells and whistles. Basic but friendly, cheap and well located if you don't want to stay in the middle of the hussle and bustle.

An excellent hotel in a beautiful location. Hong Kong's excellent treansport system made it easy and cheap to travel all over the area. The hotel had a lovely pool, sauna, tennis court and gym. Much more than we were expecting. Rooms were large and en-suite. Breakfast was average but the buffet covered everything from cereal to fried noodles. When we come back to HK we WILL be staying here.
