The SilverOaks Resort Heritage is situated on Fenton Street, only one kilometre from the Rotorua city centre and within walking distance of the famous Whakarewarewa Thermal Area, the Maori Arts & Crafts Centre, Arikikapakapa Golf Course and the Rotorua Racecourse.

There was 1 wine glass, 2 cups and one glass in a room for 2-3 people. The bread for the complementry breakfast was really mouldy and since it was cold like from the fridge it would have been mouldy for 2 or more days and as it was shop bought bread I would guess it was a further 3-4 days old. Oh and the cereal was stale and the milk was warm (room temp). The rooms were quite worn and the decor very dated.

Its a good hotel.Only thing I found wrong was they charged 3.50$ from my credit card and we did not utalized anything from fridge but i did not bothered to call them as stay was quite good.

Very 1970's so bit out dated for the price I thought. Lovely swimming pool.

The rooms and fitouts are very tired, damaged and show excessive wear and tear. The place is in need of a total refurbishment and the staff upskilling and lift their game. We will not stay there again nor recommend the place to people. It is certainly not a 4 star venue.

On the positive side, our room was upgraded from a studio to a one bedroom, as there was one available. However, the room looked as if it had not been used in quite some time. ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE, LAUNDRY FACILITIES WERE NOT UP TO SCRATCH. THE DETERGENT DISPENSER WAS EMPTY AND THE POWDER WAS ADVERTISED AT A CHEAPER PRICE THAN WAS CHARGED. RECEPTION SAID "THE ROOM DIRECTORY NEEDED TO BE UPDATED".. THIS WAS NOT SATISFACTORY. THERE WAS "NO FAN" IN THE ROOM. THE OAKS WAS DEFINITELY NOT ONE OF THE MOST COMFORTABLE PLACES WE STAYED IN ON OUR TWO WEEKS IN NEW ZEALAND, IN FACT WE MENTIONED THAT WE HAD JUST BEEN MARRIED, AND THERE WAS LITTLE RESPONSE. WE WOULD PROBABLY NOT RETURN ON OUR NEXT TRIP. WE WOULD PREFER TO STAY ELSEWHERE. WE APPRECIATE BEING ABLE TO LEAVE FEEDBACK. THANK YOU. SHARON AND ALISTAIR CASTLETON
