Silver Lake Resort Kissimmee Guest Reviews
We recently spent 4 wonderful days at the Silver Lake Resort. Being from Florida we did not have plans to do the theme parks but just to kick back and relax. It was awesome. Private and quiet, just what we were looking for. Yet you are just minutes away from Disney and all the attractions. Will definitely keep this in mind when looking for another get away.

Just returned from 2 great weeks at the Silver Lake Resort. We were in the 1000 building overlooking a lake (swamp?) where we watched a lovely white crane stand moisionless in the water waiting for his lunch to swim past. We were also able to see just the upper tip of the fireworks at Magic Kingdom and EPCOT - fun. The location is the best - 4 1/2 minutes from the Animal Kingdom parking lot to our parking space at the condo! You can't beat that at any Disney on site hotels I'm sure. The folks at the front desk couldn't have been nicer. They were always ready to answer any questions or find the answer if necessary. We are going back this spring with daughter and grandson. Having stayed a various condos over the last 20 years I feel the Silver Lake is one of the friendlliest we have ever visited. All the empoyees seem happy to work there. It makes a difference! YES - I am a real person and NO - I don't own a condo, work for the company or anything else. I am just a very satisfied guest.

Beyond my expectations. Beautiful surroundings, great amenities, extremely clean and courteous staff. I will recommend this resort to everyone I know.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Silver Lake Resort in late October 2011. After spending nearly a full day looking at hotels and accommodation throughout the Orlando/Kissimmee/Disney area, I was overwhelmed by both the sheer number of accommodation options and by the number of places that seemed to have some kind of complaint against them. In the end, I picked the Silver Lake Resort because it: (1) was ranked highly by other guests; (2) did not seem to have hidden fees associated with it (i.e. there was no daily linen fee or cleaning fee, etc); (3) other guests stated that Silver Lake Resort was willing to easily accept a "no thanks" response to the offer of a sales presentation. In the end, I'm very happy to have chosen Silver Lake Resort. After reading other guest's reviews, I called a week in advance of arrival to request we be assigned one of the newly renovated units. They told me they could not guarantee this, as the units are assigned at check-in, but they put a note on the file. When we checked in, they did give us a newly renovated unit (in building 900), which was perfect. The apartment was great -- it was a one bedroom with a king sized bed, large bathroom with shower and tub, full kitchen, and dining room table and living room. There were also two flat screen TVs and a DVD player. The apartment was great! Everything was perfectly clean, furniture was in good condition, kitchen was well stocked with all the basic utensils, cooking gear, etc and there were enough disposable goods (paper towels, dishwashing liquid, and laundry soap) for the four days we were there. Other guests were correct -- there were no hidden fees and they asked us only twice if we wanted to sit through the 90 minute presentation on the Resort -- once at check-in and once they called the room. Both times a polite "no thank you" was accepted graciously and we were never asked again. If you are in doubt of where to stay in Kissimmee area and don't mind being about 15 - 20 minutes drive away from the chaos of International Drive, stay here! There is a supermarket and several restaurants nearby, and it is very close to Disney and the interstate highways.

Great location for Disney World! We had a 1 bedroom villa. Love the decor, jacuzzi tub, separate shower, small net enclosed patio.
