Silken Ramblas Hotel Barcelona

I would say that this hotel should really be a 3star by US standards... Pros: Location right off Ramblas St, replace shampoos, toothbrush, shaving, soaps daily, has a safe. Wifi available Cons: No iron or ironing board not even on request (major problem for me), heat only during cold season, AC only during other seasons. We were there early Dec and the weather was warm the 3 days we were there but alas no AC. Was told to open windows. WORST problem was the paper thin walls. You can seriously hear the neighbors turn on the shower, flush toilets, talking, TV... etc. Might as well have stayed at a hostel since its like you have extra roommates. Lastly, business center available but at a cost to use the computer and printer. Something i wouldnt expect at 4 star hotel

cute boutique hotel, fairly new with all the amenities such as hair dryer, coffee in room, cable TV. Desk staff was great, bartender and restaurant staff not so great. In a great location of the historic section, but no view from the guest rooms. This was an overnight stay before heading to the cruise ship and for that it was a perfect stay

A terrible hotel. I had two rooms both were in poor state. Internet did not work. Staff were unfriendly Food at breakfast was expensive and stale, coffee cold. Not a pleasant stay and I wont be using this hotel or this chain again

Hotel very well located. The rooms very dark and need to be renovated. Not very soundproof. You could hear when other rooms were flushing their toilets and I also heard my neighbor snoring. The hotel not worth the price. Breakfast ridiculous expensive.

The hotel was very well situated on La Rambla. Our rooms were directly across from the lifts and all through the night you could hear the water-waste running through the pipes. Other than the decor seeming a bit dated, it was a good hotel.

A nice hotel very centrally located off La Ramblas. My hustand and I found the servcie very friendly and helpful. There is so much choice in Barcelona but this is a nice safe, well priced hotel where you can relax and enjoy the delights of this magnificant city.

We stayed in July 2004 for a weekend break. This hotel is located about 100 feet away from " the ramblas". The room had his and hers sinks, separate bathroom, small sitting area with mini bar and separate bedroom with tv. The room was immaculate and air conditioned and any extras you may need were supplied (toothbrushes, soap, shaver, hairdryer, shoe polish, shower gel, slippers and robes!!) an excellent hotel and location.

This was a delightful place to stay -- it was however very European so an American expecting a Hyatt might have been disappointed. We'd stay there again.
