i have a good stay during my recent trip to Beijing in Dec 2008. Basis room facilities and they served simple breakfast. Walking distance to the Dongsi subway station. However when to walk through the quite hudong at night which is quite scary, nevertheless nothing happen during my trip. The service given by the staffs are excellent! The negetive side of it, it was not easy to get taxi go to hotel except travel from airport or train station, apart from these i have to manage through subway!

Nice hotel, building very original and interesting. Walking distance from Forbidden City (appr. 30 min.). Hotel has a car with driver for rent; kind driver and competitive pricing!

A wonderful respite from the busy city - a trip into the past. Staff a bit weak, (cultural thing) but speak and understand English. I loved this simple place.

Lovely accommodation in a quiet Hutong. Great food provided as a free breakfast and offered a bagged breakfast for us on the morning of our early departure. Close to great restaurants and shops. We also enjoyed their tour to the Great Wall and Chang Tombs that included a stop at a cloisonne factory and a jade factory and culminated with a fabulous foot massage. Only draw back was finding a taxi willing to take us to the hotel; as many as nine drivers told us they didn't know where it was. The drive down the narrow street was very tricky and I wondered if the drivers who refused us were reluctant to squeeze their vehicles through the narrow alley. I would love to stay there again.

I think Sihe Courtyard is good for people who want to experience local experience life ih Hutong. I was glad that I had chance to do so but once is enough for me. The room is clean. The staff is helpful but I found the room is very small and it's quite hard for the taxi to find the hotel at night time. Also I think the hotel could have done better with the breakfast. Anyway, I enjoyed my stay at this hotel.
