1-2 minutes with taxi from Shinjuku Station to the hotel, 7-10 minutes to walk. The location is perfect. I always asked the cleaning ladies for tips and advice around Shinjuku(like are there any supermarkets around), really helpful. The rooms on the other hand can get little small and the windows doesn't open at all. The air was pretty bad at the beginning, but it got better.

There's a underground tunnel at b1 that links from the hotel to the various train stations and subways and straight to the shopping malls. I find these extensive underground tunnel links really amusing! A short walk of 2 streets to the area filled with restaurants and cheap small food stalls. Ask for English menu! Free wifi at lobby. But with a 5000 yen deposit, u can rent the modem at zero cost! Lobby staff can communicate in English, but doesn't mean they understand will thou. Room for double is really really small. 1 small path to walk and no space to open ur luggage except on the bed. Got a chance to try the breakfast, the first floor at the annex building has a great atmosphere. The one at 25 floor have a good view.

We chose this hotel for the convenience of getting on the airport bus & being dropped off at the door - it was our first trip to Tokyo, arriving quite late at night & we didn't want to navigate train & luggage. For this convenience the hotel is great. Hotel is close to all amenities around Shinjuku station, has everything you expect from a hotel. Yes room is small but that was expected from other comments. There's wifi in the lobby but was a bit patchy.

Was a bit surprised to see how small the room but since it is basically for sleeping and get freshen up. The location is not bad, like the underpass walk to the station.Easier to get food. There is laundry and internet access - good. Staff needs to smile a lot more...feels they are very cold...not very inviting...

A clean, modern and accommodating Business Hotel on the West side of Shinjuku. A short walk to the JR station and Bus Terminal. The west side isn't as exciting as the East side, but you are a short walk away from the noise, lights and craziness of Kabukicho, shops and restaurants on the East side. The best sized room we have had in Japan. The first stay we had a large room with added small sun room and the second stay we had a massage chair in our room. Both stays were well worth it. I would recommend this hotel any day.

Great location & decent sized rooms however there is no ventilation causing the rooms to be very humid with the air conditioning doing nothing to fix the problem. The only real help the hotel will provide to fix this problem is to open the window which doesn't really make much difference.

The Shinjuku Washington Hotel is clean, efficient, conveniently situated and reasonably priced. My room was small, but not tight, and the bed was comfortable. I would have appreciated one English channel on the television, but this was not a major issue, as I did not spend much time in the room. It is useful to know, particularly in rainy weather, that there is an underground passage from the South exit of JR Shinjuku station directly to the basement of the hotel. I have stayed in this hotel a number of times, and, depending on the price (which can be variable), I shall return in the future.

Great location and rooms are clean though small. Main grouse is with the elevators which are slow and difficult to get on in the mornings ! TV in rooms should have at least 1 news channel in English for the benefit of non Japanses speaking guests and air cond could have been kept at a lower temperature as the room could get a little stuffy at times.

If you're looking for somewhere close to the centre of Tokyo, but reasonably priced this may be the place for you. The rooms have everything you need, the staff are friendly and there are numerous restaurants dotted all over the building. It is conveniently located about five minutes walk from Shinjuku station, one of Tokyo's main transport interchanges, and the area is buzzing, particularly in the evenings. It is also just 15 minutes on the Metro from the bars and clubs of Roppongi, if you're looking to go somewhere a little more upmarket.

The service, cleanliness, location, price and all that were fine. The BIGGEST problem that could not be rectified, was the bed was hard as a rock. I would have preferred to have slept on the floor, on a mattress. (no room) And the room was SO HOT, in the middle of winter the air conditioner was on full blast all night and day. This could have easily been resolved if the window had been able to open just a crack.
