They mixed up our bookings. The rooms were old and very basic. But the bed was good. The staff were helpful. The food was awful but lots of better places around. Close to major action so location is good. One realises how good hotels and airlines are in Asia and Australia. Flew in m By Hawaiian airlines. Awful. Don't go with them either. Maui is better

I made a reservation with Sheraton Princess Kaiulani for three people on behalf of my friends. Unfortunately my flight from India got cancelled due to aircraft damage and I could not arrive on the check-in date. Other two friends were arriving from another city as scheduled and needed to stay in the room reserved under my name. I informed the hotel front about it. The front told me that my friends would not be able to stay unless the booking company changes the name of the reservation. As my alternate flight was taking off in an hour and international phone connection is very erratic in India I asked several times if there were any other solutions such as verifying myself, but the desk was just unhelpful repeating the manual regulations. I had no choice but to call Booking company. While getting disconnected several times and explaining the same issue again and again to a random operator I finally got them to speak with the front desk. Surprisingly the same person from the hotel front desk refused and advised that with regards to these changes it should be done with the reservations department which will be open in 2 hours from that time. I urgently needed make the change before I fly off so that I can be sure my friends will have a room to stay. I even called the USA Sheraton support number for assistance. This person understood the emergency and tried to solve the problem while the same front desk refused again. I had nothing left that I can do. After 8 hours during my transfer in HK I made another international call to the hotel to find that nothing had been done. My friends had reached the hotel and were refused to stay. The hotel made them call the Booking company to explain to another random operator over an hour. Finally could not change the name. I had made an international call back and forth the hotel and Booking company at least 5 times from HK because every time a random person would tell me different status. The hotel told me that the reservation name had not changed and Booking company told me the problem was solved. It took over 5 hours to clear the confusion. This process was frustrating and painful enough to destroy my stay in Hawaii. I would like to respect the regulation as much as possible but the hotel should understand that emergency situation at times do not allow one to. In such case I would expect “the will to help out” from a hotel which is operated by a world’s leading hospitality group and what I experienced was completely the opposite .

Very happy with staff's professionalism, particularly concierge. Cleaner was very helpful and the location was so central and handy. Short walking distance to everything including beach, shops, restaurants and trolleys & buses. Room was small and everything looked old and drab, definitely needs a reno!

We stayed in the oceanview room for 2 weeks in January 2009 and because we love the hotel location and accomodation we booked again in December (27 to 30) and Jan. (7 to 12) a a standard room as which staring price was $90 US and I booked more better room for $99 US and the room was kind small with double short bed, with obscured view and I asked to change our room to the kings size bed and of course this room was a much bigger with nice mountain view . My suggestion is if the Oribtz agent books with the hotel with kings size bed room for recieving biger room for clients or inform the hotel that client paid addional $ for better room in the standard categories . Also the daily resort price is $12.75 is little too high.T The Sheraton Princess Kaluani should not charge every hotel room $12.75 for using their resort as many guests only sleep there and the guest should onlhy pay the resort fees per day not per night. there. On Dec. 27 we arrieved to Princess Kaulauni after 9:00 p.m. and stayed to Dec. 30 we were changed for 4 days for resort fees and the resort fees were changed to $15.00 US instead $12 US due to Christmas Holidays. We spoke to the hotel Manager Guests Desk and after all we endeded up paying for 3 days at rate of $12 US for the resort as was booked in May 2011. The supply of coffee/coffee's cream was limited (one per guest) and we usually use 2 creams per coffee. We always were asked the cleaning lady to leave for us more. The last night - January 11 the cleaning lady left for us one coffee and one cream. In 2009 the hotel service, rooms supplies was excellent. This time, we noticed the hotel little dirty and it seems the elevators and bathrooms needs renovation. .

The hotel was very clean and comfortable and the staff was courteous, helpful and friendly. The hotel is a leisurely 5 minute stroll to what I thought was the prettiest part of Waikiki beach, namely the open area with park and greenery along the beach.

Location of Hotel is just perfect. All the hotel staff (from the bell hop, desk receptionist, concierge) were all helpful and kind. Rooms were comfortable and cozy...and requests for extra pillows and towels were attended to immediately. ABC Store is just in front of the hotel so it was so convenient for us to buy things we needed for our stay. Tour Desk had all the activities we wanted to go. Most importantly, the church is so nearby so we were able to hear mass on New Year's Eve. This is the best vacation I ever had so far!!

Everything was good. Clean room, food, staff was excellent Great Christmas spirit with lots to do. Only one block from Waikiki beach. Only draw back was the room with a Queen size bed was really small. Had to walk over our luggage but, the price was really good.

Average Amenities, but the location cannot be beat. If you get an ocean or Diamonhead view on a high floor, how can you complain?

1. People at the lobby: It looked like they had a busy day, but thats no reason to be aloof to their clients, like they were to us. 2. Parking - its paid parking (no kidding!). We got a special $18 a day for parking, fruit punch (once per visit) which was water+ice+some fruit drink syrup, beach seats at waikiki beach which we never used. 3. Room - it was ok, nothing fancy. 4. TV - no cable, anything and everything you wanna watch, you gotta pay. Agreed you'll be busy travelling around hawaii, but at least some TV before you unwind?! 5. Bathroom - the shower is removable but can be placed in only two positions. One for a hobbit and the other for golith. Why? 6. Other amenities - coffee and two bottles of water. We had few days when we did not get sugar etc so we had to look for coffee outside. 7. Its a LONG walk to and from the hotel to the parking (we got parking in the 5th floor, it was not an easy climb!). 8. Breakfast and dinner buffets are too expensive. 9. They have a pool area, but it was too small for us to go and play. 10. Some of the people who do the hard work (like carry your luggage or clean up the room) are nice and thats it! 11. Location is the best part of this hotel, close the beach, international market etc. We stayed for ~9 days and for the price we payed, its totally NOT worth it.

Appreciated the professional & friendly staff. Valet service upon arrival was quick & efficient as well as the checking-in & checking-out process. Room was immaculately cleaned everyday; loved the comfortable bedding & pillows galore. Took full advantage of the night-time gated parking garage areas. Appreciated this 3-star hotel & everything it offered more than my family's 4-star Waikiki hotel that they were staying at.

When I went to my room, I only received half a room because it was right next to the fire escape stair. The room was so small I had to sit at an angle to use the restroom. If you lose your ID just say you lost your room card and you wont have to go through nearly the hassle that you would if you lost your ID. Even if your significant other is a preferred member the only one able to go into the preferred member line is the preferred member, otherwise the staff will yell at you. Overall experience was not pleasing and they need some work. Plus, there are a huge number of hookers that work the streets right by the hotel.

Our stay at the hotel was good. On 2 different occasions, a dirty cleaning towel was left in our by mistake. The first one was on the floor when we arrived and the third day, one was left on a table. Other than that, the hotel was perfect.

The hotel is at a great location from everything. I and my wife enjoyed our 5 days of vacation. The resort chargers are totally worth the parking and beach amenities provided by them. If you are visting waikiki and would like to enjoy the evenings there without the hassle of finding expensive parking this is the place. On the downside, the hotel needs serious updating. It's stuck in 60s.

This Hotel was fantastic!!! The staff were excellent, the accomodations were terrific - the sheets in the bed could use a little less starch. But the beds were so comfortable. The view was beautiful. The buffet was awesome! The Gym was great, the pool was peaceful and the smell of plumeria was pleasing.
