Sheraton Nassau Beach Resort Guest Reviews
I was really impressed with the quality of the hotel - it was a great value for the price I paid. Cable Beach is bit removed from downtown and Paradise Island, but I liked the convenience of having a grocery store within walking distance (which I highly recommend utilizing, as the prices in Nassau are very much inflated.) And with the money you save on the hotel, you can put towards water sports and excursions. I walked along Cable Beach and from the outside, clearly the Sheraton was the in the best shape. The pools as well as the beach were clean and beautiful. The other hotels along the strip appeared to be out-dated. The hotel service was great too (but given that there is a $40/day gratuity charged, you better get great service.) I would definitely stay here again.

Waited an hour on line to check in as group 4 magically morphed into 30 in front of us. 1 person in front of us and my GF and I behind them . The front desk person could of at least asked them if he could quickly take care of the two people behind them so they could have his undivided attention. At the end of the check in for the 30 there was still only two people behind this group. Thus after finally checking in the hour later and showering, all the restaurants were closed. Dissapointed! The best thing was the view from the room, which we received for waiting in line.

Restaurant staff rather sour, no smiles, found this in most other restaurants as well. Otherwise, other staff was fine.

Room lacked a microwave, mini bar and refrigerator. Would have had to pay $10.00 per day if we wanted a refrigerator brought up to the room. In all my trips to the Bahamas (10), every room was always provided these 3 amenities as standard. We were also charged a $160.00 extra for an Ocean View Room, this upset us since the hotel was nearly empty. Bathroom drain appeared to be backed up, water drained very, very slow. One of the nights, we paid $28.00 each for the evening buffet in the hotel and there ended up being an extremely limited choice with very few items to select from. Hotel needs a deli on the premises that stays open for sandwiches or burgers until at least 1am, especially on Fridays, Saturday & Sundays. Had we know this, we would had gone to a restaurant. However, the staff was very friend and polite, as usual. I would not necessarily recommend this hotel to friend or family. Must say, when it was under the Radisson Cable Beach management, this hotel will top notch.

I was very dissapointed in the Hotel. The resteruants were closed for most of our stay. We had to change rooms twice once because of a smell, and another time because of bugs in the room (alot of bugs). It was too far away from everything!
