I can not say enough positive things about the Maui Sheraton. From the moment we walked in (we were only offered an upgrade to a suite once and when we declined she did not ask again) to the moment we checked out (2 1/2 hours later than check out time since they knew we had a late flight) everything was amazing. We stayed in building 6 in room 6511 and it was everything we hoped for. The first morning we woke up at 430a due to the time change and watched whales breaching in the moonlight from our balcony! Loved the breakfast buffet and were bummed on the days we had early morning activities and couldn't go. We were always treated as a valued guest and we never saw an unfriendly staff member. We have been to numerous beach resorts and this one was by far our favorite! We will most definitely return!

The hotel and the entire trip was everything I wanted it to be. While some of the food could use improvement, the overall experience was fantastic. I had a massage that was wonderful as well.

Had a lovely staty. Lovely resort on the corner of the beach, a bit more secluded. Pool was cold, staff were rude, restaurants expensive. Otherwise it was fantastic and I would recommend it.

The only strong point of this trip and our stay at this hotel was the Valet service team. The food was average but nearly triple the cost of other local establishments. The guest services team really needs to figure out what a resort is supposed to provide. This place actually charged my account for services that they anticipated that I might use on the first night of our stay. I understand that it is standard practice to request an incidentals charge for items that may be used during your stay, but this place, took the incidental charge and then additionally assumed based on my a single activity, charged my card my room rate and the activity we completed on the first day times the number of days we were staying. let me clear, the room was already paid, this was in addition to the charges we had already paid to actually rent the room which was prepaid before we arrived. If that wasn't bad enough we actually had to call and ask them to service the room. Really!! This is a 4 Star hotel? I seriously doubt that they have been reviewed lately, as I expected so much more. I have traveled to many Hawaii locations and normally stay at 4 or 5 star hotels, and this ranked up there with the Motel 6, and they did keep the light on for us. If you plan on going to Maui in the near future, find a different place to stay unless the valet team is enough for you that is.

Wonderful property in a fantastic location. Staff friendly and helpful. Only one minor problem was at check-in as we had to wait two hours from the posted check in time for our room. We were given free cocktails during the wait so not a big problem. On site parking and valet is wonderful, great value!

We love the overall Maui experience, the hotel was in a great location, with beautiful grounds, we expected a little more luxury from the rooms and a warmer welcome but overall the beauty of the area and the grounds made it a great trip. Staff was good, but no overly friendly, it often felt as if we were making them work extra hard when it was close to the end of the buffet time or Late check in.. Valets and beach staff were great though. The main thing is this: if you go to this hotel and Lahaina area, make sure you plan on getting up early and visit Thai amazingly beautiful island. Do not expect any evening or nightlife after 9pm, it is a ghost town as everyone is in bed, ready to get up early for the next adventure day! Hotel was good, grounds were beautiful, staff was sort of hot and cold depending on who you deal with, but mostly good. Everything is ridiculously expensive, like a $19 burger at the pool restaurant so stock up on basics at the grocery store. Despite some of the light complaints above, we love it because the laid back beauty of the area, the hotel grounds and the breezy comfort made it really really pleasant to get up and love the day in a beautiful setting. Would we go back? Yes. Would we plan our schedule differently? Yes. Get up early, go to bed early. Did we love it? Yes. Expensive but we loved it.

Loved the resort. Beautiful location. We saw turtles at Black Rock every morning! Great for snorklers and those who wish to view them from the shore. Would definitely stay here again! Keep up the great work!

Was forced to pay hundreds more during checkin to have the king sized bed I requested when I made the reservation. I was embarrassed and felt taken advantage of the second I entered the property! Imagine trying to have a romantic hawaiin vacation and being told you can't share a bed, without paying hundreds more, THAT YOU RESERVED WHEN YOU BOOKED! Bad business, they only want to rip you off!

rooms are good, nice hotel but the pool is not heated and is freezing. Literally no one is in the pool this week. Very disappointing. Some construction noise heard in the rooms. Other than that nice hotel in a great location near lots. But if you want to swim in the pool I'd avoid this hotel unless it's 90 outside.

I wanted a place that was relaxing and that had everything we needed right there and this resort is exactly that. The only issue I had is that the Hotel restaurants are REALLY expensive and the food is not that great. However, the hotel offered a free shuttle to Lahiana, which had amazing restaurants that were reasonably priced and there where many restaurants within walking distance that were reasonably priced as well. They are remodeling all of the rooms and we stayed in one of the remodels. It was very nice and really well put together. Our room was quiet and the service from the staff was outstanding. The pool was AMAZING and the beach is right there with snorkeling and other water sports available. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Maui.

Nice hotel in a great location, but they were doing renovations close by and it was noisy being in the hotel during the day.

When we arrived to the hotel, they upgraded our room to ocen front, which has a fantastic view. The hotel is in a perfect location. We checked lot's of other beaches, and we found this hotel's beach to be the best. We saw 3 sea turtles while we were swimming. Pool is amazing, and it is huge. The bar next to the pool has nice drinks. It is walking distance to Whaler's villaga which has some nice restaurants. Hotel has a free shuttle service to the Lahaina town that has lot's restaurants, bars, grociery stores etc.

We book sheraton for my honeymoon and glad i did it. i even got the Champaign from the hotel staff to celebrate our honeymoon. there're not a lot of kids in the hotel and i think it's a good place for honey moon people to stay in maui. location is great and we stay in the building which is in front of the black rock. very good view and close to the beach. the black rock snorkeling was great, suggest you to go in the morning so you can see more fish. :) good luck and hope you enjoy the stay as i did.

The staff was helpful and very friendly. The concierge went above and beyond to book us excursions even at the last minute, and they selected quality vendors. The hotel is beautiful, and in the perfect location! Of all the hotels in Kaanapali, this resort had the best location for snorkeling (Black Rock is right there), the most attractive pool with lazy river, and spectacular views. Utilizing their complimentary shuttle service to Lahaina allowed us to not have to fuss with parking and parking fees, and drive safely if partaking of adult beverages while in Lahaina. Amazing resort!

The rooms are really small ( king room, garden view) this was not express in a proper way when we booked the hotel. Just be carefull when you give your credit card by check in, they will charge a really big pre auth( $6500)!!! without telling you. Overall the hotel was nice, Breakfast staff was great but the frontdesk staff was not trained well and it seams almost they didn't care. This is not what we are use to from a Sheraton.
