The location was great. Short ride from cruise port, and to the airport the next day. It was within walking distance to night life, shopping, and dining. Beautiful view of ocean and nice safe area. Hotel staff was very friendly.

I decided to surprise my boyfriend for his birthday with a get away to Florida. Being extremely impulsive I booked the hotel with only a few moments reviewing it online. I was very nervous after reading most of the reviews because they were quite negative. But this was a TERRIFIC trip for a relaxing trip! I asked for a balcony beach view room. Although there was no balcony, the view was a nice view of the beach that stretched from side to side. We were on the 6th South tower floor so we were above the trees and the beach tower's roof (which could very likely block a lower rooms view). I ordered champagne and a slice of chocolate cake to our room and not only was the cake delightful, the server came back with a bowl of strawberries after I told him it was my boyfriend's bday. The beach was a couple of steps down from the pool and a guy greeted us with towels and followed us down to show us our chairs and made them up for us. The only down side was it wasn't as close as the other hotels to the main strip of restaurants, but the other hotels weren't right on the beach either. It was only a 15 minute walk to my favorite restaurant so it wasn't that far down. The hockey game wasn't on in our room but we just walked downstairs to The Wreck Bar in the hotel where they had plenty of tv's and stations for everyone. We got to watch our Pens lose to the local Panthers, but who can complain when your in paradise?

We only had one evening here but the hotel is located direct ocean front, we were in room 524 and had an awesome view. This part of the hotel is the older part and a little small for an extended stay but other than that this place is a great stay and there are nicer rooms if you were going to be there for an extended stay. Everything you need is at this hotel such as restaurants, bar, pool, beach, shuttle etc.. Be aware that parking is $19.00 per night if you park yourself or valet park for $25.00 per night.

The best part of this hotel is that it has it's own private beach that provides you an umbrella for a fee and serves you cocktails and food right on the beach. I don't usually enjoy the beach since I have very pale skin and just get painfully sunburned. I spent most of our vacation under my beach umbrella and was able to enjoy a refreshing cocktail at my leisure. I felt like a millionaire. It was wonderful!

The only thing I would say was not very good is the fact that I had to pay 19.00/day for parking but other than that it was a great experience.

The hotel has a great location especially if you don't have a car. Cost by taxi from Ft. Lauderdale airport came to about $25. Water taxi stop just across the street. Main beach strip area within walking distance. The hotel itself has several buildings. I loved my room and location in the main building. I would however stay away from any rooms on the first floor of the Beach building- since this is the main throughway to get to the beach and beach side pool. The beach is great and next door at the Marriot there is a watersports area (for cost) where you can rent skidoos, go parasailing rent kayaks, paddleboards etc

We came into town to pick my daughter up from the airport after her trip to Germany. We booked two double beds which we were told was no problem when checking in. Dragged our luggage through two hotels to get to our room just to find out there was only a king. We had to drag the luggage back to the front office just to be told we could use a roll out bed there are no rooms left. I told them they could tell that to another couple that has not checked in and we got our room. Dragging our luggage again back through two hotels its a maze. The hotel has three hotels. Finally we get to the room and there are two bottles of water with labels saying "Thirsty?" I went ahead to gulp one down just to hear my fiance say the water cost 5$!!!! The writing was so small even I with 20/10 eye vision had a hard time to read it. Hotel beds though were awesome.

The hotel is first rate. The staff is friendly and helpful. We had a quiet and relaxing stay at the Sheraton. The rooms were clean and comfortable. Our flight arrived 4 hours before the check-in time at 3:00 but our room was ready and we were allowed to check in early. The hotel is conveniently located right on the beach. We walked out to the beach at 11:00 p.m. and ran into a marine biologist who sat with us for 2 hours and explained about the turtles that were nesting on the beaches. Unfortunately we did not see any turtles during our stay but sat every night waiting to see them. We had stayed at the Sheraton before and both times we had a great time.

The hotel staff really worked well together pleasing all of the visitors. Everything was at the hotel or within walking distance. Not to mention you are right on the beach witch was well serviced with food drinks and ice cream. During the day there were several events on the beach for the kids to enjoy.

Nice hotel with many amenities. The pool area in the main building needs some refreshing up. However the rest of the hotel is fantastic. Being so close to Ft. Luaderdale beach is great only walking distance. Hotel has lots of history.

I mainly walk around eventhough there was limited indoor activities. I spent most of my time in the room. When I first entered the room, I was disappointed because it wasn't what I was expecting. I immediately ask for an upgrade but was told there was none. I got transferred to another room that was a little better but still not up to par. I've been to other hotels and have had pleasant experience so I guest I was expecting too much. This hotel need to renovate their bedrooms, a nice jacuzzi would be nice.

The experience we had was very enjoyable. We had dinner at the mexican restaurant, and it was delicious. The food served by the pool close to the beach was great too. The room was clean and our view was also nice, oceanview with a balcony.

Stayed one night in Oceanside room after trip to Keys. Very clean room, comfortable bed/towels. Great view of ocean from private balcony. Couldn't find remote to TV when first got to room-hotel staff promptly brought us a functioning one. Ordered room service-somewhat pricey (as is all room service) but my salmon caesar salad was well-cooked and delicious. Close walking proximity to shops, restaurants, and nightlife and the beach seemed very safe. Short drive to airport. Would definitely stay here again.
