Perhaps I chose to stay at Shangri la at the wrong time, 31st December. There were so many people queing to check-in. Rooms were okay but I think its outdated. You can hear people in the corridor talking outloud. Health club is excellent. The Club lounge is also great.

Very large hotel with renovated restaurant spaces and large-size rooms and baths. Location is close-in to ministries and business area but suffers from Jakarta''s chaotic traffic pattern in the afternoon rush hour. Very pleasant facilities for exercise and relaxation after work.
