Seokyo Hotel Seoul
2.8 out of 5

Pros: I got a stay 4N, free 5N promo. And my 5th night was on the Xmas eve. Phew! We would have to pay much more elsewhere. Very near the lively Hongik University area. Airport Limo bus at the bus stop in centre road divider. Halal kebab store at the road behind. Cons: Rooms are outdated, carpet, bathroom, CRT TV, everything. 3rd hotel I stayed in Korea, Seokyo's lobby staff are infriendliest. Loud bass dance music on some nights at 3am from Level 6.

Quite reasonable. Hotel people have a good command of English.

The only problem was the air conditioning unit was shut-off, due to cost savings by the hotel. The hotel stated the a/c will be available in May when the weather is hotter.

I like the service they provided overall, but they did not help you to take the luggage to your room. Another thing i dislike about them is that their air-con will be switch off from 2am to 4am, which i do not feel so comfortable about and i think their bath tub is rather small. Overall they have been very helpful and if the things i mentioned above you do not mind, i guess it's a very pleasant hotel to stay in.

We liked the location in the Hongik University area of Seoul. Plenty of restaurants and stores are in the vicinity.

It''s a great location...and good value for money...if you want to see the real Seoul...a great place for young people from Japan who have a little money to enjoy a weekend.
