Very welcoming hotel, with great service and excellent breakfast. Being a few kilometers away from the city centre is great as far as noise is concerned. The walk along the lake shore to the city is lovely and good to work off the calories taken in at sumptuous breakfast.

Good location with free parking and easy bus access. We also walked into Lucerne when the weather was nice. The room is outdated but typical for rooms in Europe. In our room the bath was small but adequate. Without A/C the street noice could be an issue for light sleepers - but it wasn't a problem for us. A very good breakfast was included in our price and the staff was extremely helpful.

The we stayed in was a corner room in the new wing. It overlooked Lake Lucerne and a commanding view of Mt Pilatus. The hotel is located away from the city centre but you can take a nice half hour walk along the lake side to reach the city centre. The Transport Museum is much nearer and definitely strongly recommended for those travelling with children. The counter staff are very helpful in providing information on getting around to the popular destinations eg. Mt Pilatus and Mt Rigis.

This is a great hotel.. excellent location with a bus service at the door. fantastic facility and first class restaurant. Definitely would stay there again, it has to be one of the nicest hotels in Lucerne. If you go to Lucern you would be crazy not to stay at this hotel...
