Seasons Darling Harbour Sydney
3 out of 5

The one room is quite compact but the apartment is centrally located in the Darling harbor area. Good value overall for a one night stay. We added an extra folding bed as our adult daughter decided to stay over at last minute which cost us AUD40 extra but the folding bed was totally unusable due to the sagging springs and it almost sunk to the floor. We did not border to ask for a replacement as it as late at night and we only just stay for the night.

Disappointed. This hotel is quoted as being a four star hotel with a five star sleep for the Cloud Nine Bed. The bed was great but our room struggled to be three star. The barge boards were missing from in front of the vanity unit and another one was missing in the kitchen exposing the ugly lining underneath with big black marks on it. There were holes in the back of the door where hooks had been removed and remounted in other places. Our room was so recessed between two buildings that it never saw the light of day and we had to have the lights going night and day. We overlooked a huge expanse of dirty roof and the next apartments balcony was 2m from our lounge looking directly at us. Pool was very difficult to reach. It was no wonder we witnessed other people demanding their money back. We would have too but our booking said 100% cancellation fee. The room is now being quoted for under half the price we paid but was supposed to be a special a week ago and it still wouldn't be worth it. It ruined my holiday. Why do they say there is a monorail stop there when it was closed long ago? Why are the latest reviews 2010???

It was only 1 night but I did have a great bargain beside the location, the staff are friendly, hotel room is clean. We thought it would be noisy at night because our room was facing the street, but it was good night.

I stayed at Seasons Darling Harbour for 3 nights. It was not a bad experience. The only thing I did not like was that I did not sleep well at night. But its awesome location and quite good facilities.

Loved the Chinatown location, yet still very close to the Market City to meet/shop/play video games with the kids, World Square Coles for last minute groceries/toiletries, Entertainment Centre for events. We also went to the Powerhouse which was a good 10 minute walk, but manageable with our 2 year old. The hotel room itself was good. Kitchen utensils were adequate to heat up my leftovers (so many great places to eat literally downstairs!). Had a little balcony for fresh air. The studio apartment did not have a washer/dryer which would have been a bonus. Privacy limited so keep the blinds closed. Access to the pool/gym/sauna was a bit difficult, but good system to help manage use (and limit abuse). Loved the steam room - small enough to get steamy very quickly! Went for a rooftop swim which in the cold morning, but the water was refreshingly warm. Spa not working, but oh so warm! Staff a bit mixed... but thats people in general I guess!

Stayed 2 nights. Staff very helpful. We had a 1 bedroom apartment which had heaps of room. Excellent location - right in Chinatown. Rooms are very quiet. 10 minutes walk to Darling Habour and 5 minutes to city centre. Check time of 11.00 am was good. Car park (at cost) right below hotel. Would definately stay again.

Great location though the room was way overpriced for what we got and the service, especially after hours was very poor with us twice being unable to access our room due to the entry card not working.

Lovely area for a hotel. Close to Darling Harbour. Reception staff were not very helpful, on checkin. Checkout staff were very friendly and helpful. Lift access cards and pool access was complicated.

Nice place for a short city stay, good access to the main shopping precinct and restaurants. Not the easiest access to get to the leisure/pool facilities but overall I would stay again.

Location surrounding was great, however taxi's and pick up/drop off point was aweful and kaotic! they never had a parking spot, so we always had to always walk distances to and from taxi's. Friendly and helpfull staff, depending who is rostered on. Room was clean with all that was promised. We stayed on the 8th floor, and to my suprise, we could not hear the noise from the monorail. The pool and the gym was a bit of a dissapointment though. Overall i would rate it a 3 star, not 4 as advertised.
