The doors are so old, I got locked/trapped in my room. I had to climb out the window, but the office is closed from 12-8 am.. then when they opened they couldn't help (thought the one employee did try!) so I had to check out by putting all of my stuff to the window as well.. unreal. Not a bad place for the price, but you get what you pay for.

OLD Florida style three story 1950's motel with small pool in a great location walkable to nice beach and touristy shops and stores. Its a no frills place in barely kept up original condition. Nevertheless a bargan for those seeking to save some money.. Only about 5 miles from FLL airport if arriving by cab. Most of the beach had lifeguards on site during daylight. Pay attention to the color coded flags for warnings about water consditions. See the river and waterways by Water Taxi or a Jungle Queen Dinner Cruise. That will take your mind off your room hopefully. This place reminds me of the 1960 Fort Lauderdale Spring Break movies.

Internet works best if near the office. Don't bring mom or friends because they will think your cheep. Yes it was a bargan but you pay for what you get. If you on a budget, take a chance. There is plenty to do nearby within walking distance 1 block to 2 miles.. Short walk to beach.

Generally clean except in hard to clean places like corners. There you would find years of dirt and crud. No coffee maker and couldnt find one even though only 5 cars in the lot overnight. They were not busy. A good deal if you are on a budget but don't use for that special trip or vacation. I was alone so was not worried about others would have thought or said. There was an iron and board but I didnt use it. No clock radio. Phone was on the floor, no table for it.. The AC worked and the water was hot. Short walk to beach and stores.

Excellent location a block from the beach. A few blocks north to bars and eating places as well as your typical touristy stores. Near jet ski rentals, Jungle Queen tour and fishing charters. If on a buget, no rental car needed., This place is a 50's Old Florida style motel and studio apartments. Very little upgrading over the years. Lots of coats of paint by handy men with less than average skills. But for the price who cars if there is paint on the tile and drips not wiped up befotre drying. I heard rodents in the bathrom ceiling early in the morning even over the noise of of the AC wall unit.. If your on a budget its worth a try..but don't go to impress anyone in your group.
