Scenic Hotel Dunedin City Guest Reviews
Overall we enjoy the stay in this hotel. Location is great and room is clean. The hotel is in city center and it is hard to find a car park near to the hotel for check in. Even if you want to use their valet service, you have to first park your car somewhere and drop your car key at the reception. Although they have a basement car park but it is very small and I found that they actually just park my car at an open car park near to the hotel. The pay and display parking area is free between 6pm to 9am. So you may want to consider to park your car by your own in this parking area instead of paying $10 for the valet service.

We stayed for two nights in Dunedin - loved the location of the hotel - just a block away from the Octagon. Lots of eateries and pubs near by and just up the road from the iSite where you can organise excursions. Reception staff were helpful, and we ate one dinner at the restaurant - very well presented and tasty. Enjoyed the Buffet breakfast - especially the muffins! Would certainly stay there again.

A very peculiar view of "service". I wanted to see if a room was available before 2pm but no one seemed interested in dealing with that. I wanted to stay an extra night, but they couldn't do it at the same rate, I had to go back to Hotel Club. I did that which was OK and got an even better rate. Why didn't they just roll the booking over? The foyer is most uninviting, but the breakfast was good.
