Location
Placed close to the Finlandia Congress, the Scandic Continental Hotel Helsinki is also close to the Concert Hall. The Opera, Olympic Stadium, Linnanmaki Amusement Park and the beautiful surroundings of Toolo Bay are all located at walking distances.

In general it was a nice stay. The services were good, staffs were helpful and competent, and we especially enjoyed the large breakfast offer. Hotel was equipped with sauna and swimming pool, but do not expect to swim in it, it is quite small. The location was about 15 minutes by walk from city centre and the Finnair airport bus stops right next to it so that was another plus; cleanness was good, internet was available free of charge which came in handy. Over all we were satisfied with the price/quality ratio. However, I need to point out that the hotel is quite old and its rooms, lobby halls, carpets, and etc. were somewhat shabby; bathroom hairdryers were really bad so ladies take your own. In case you are not a budget traveller and you want a beautiful hotel for a special occasion you might be dissapointed so go for another option.

From the airport the Finnair bus to the centre of Helsinki makes a stop at the hotel on the way. Free wifi. Tram stop just outside hotel. Easy.

The curtains did not make the room dark in the morning, I was awake at 05.00 , too early. Gurtain sides was not enouf and in the middle the plastic (to make it dark) was too smal. Room 639
