Very pleasant, helpful staff. Only real fault was cleanliness of bathroom.

Good mid range hotel. Clean, convenient, very accommodating staff. 2km from CBD. Very secure. The base hotel for several safari companies. Would stay there again.

Reasonably priced safe hotel for over night stay in Nairobi. This is Africa so dont expect same cleaniness or room standards as Europe.

Once the staff get to know you they are very friendly and only to happy to help. Whilst the hotel has all the amenities that other 4 star hotels have the place was a little dated so the pricing was too high. The location whilst a hassle being out of town having to get taxi's all the time (I was happy to walk but warned heavily against it) it did offer a serenity that is just not available any closer to town. Whilst I won't stay here on my return I would recommend if they dropped their prices or did the place up.

the tv didn't work in my room...and it took so long to get someone to come check it that I just went to bed...They did however allow me a late checkout at 1 pm. Their normal check out time is 10am, this is way to early. the breakfast buffet was very good. I also used the spa for massage which was excellent service.

This is a great place to stay in Nairobi for a good price. Our room was spacious with a very large bed and a clean and well-equipped bathroom. The restaurant and bar were also wonderful. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful, and overall, very professional. I think the Panafric is a great deal.

Dated decor, however is comfortable and clean. The Staff were helpful , friendly and appeared to enjoy working there. Compares favorably with other hotels in the price range in Nairobi. The food was wholesome and portions were good. not over the top as is often the fashion. The bar has a friendly atmosphere. Handy for city center, but with secure quiet location. Have stayed at a number of Nairobi hotels over the years, and for those looking for a conveniently located , short stay hotel it is well worth a look.

Ideal facilities and location for a short stop-over but not really geared to the leisure facilities of a longer stay

A basic and conveneint hotel. A little pricey for the quality of the rooms etc but there is limited choice in Nairobi and this is probably one of the best.

Excellant but basic hotel, in good location, 20 mins drive from the airport and 15 min walk into the town centre.Staff were very helpful and polite.24hr security guards on premises. Superior room very spacious and very clean, can get quite noisy with the outside traffic if facing the main road. Breakfast/lunch/dinner is good, wide range of choice from hot and cold food.No tour desk as such, but you can negotiate a price with one of the hotel taxi drivers to take you around. Mr jackson was my loyal friend.Definately recommend this hotel and would most likely stay here again in the near future.

On our stay at this hotel, We felt that the staff were beyond friendlyness, and could not do enough for you. The rooms were of a sufficent size, but found that the bathrooms were very small. We would certainly recommend the hotel and will be visiting again.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Panafric and we both got bit by bedbugs that night, the shower drained so slowly that you ended up with a bathtub full of water by the end of your shower. The carpets were stained and old. We ordered a buger from room service and it tasted funny and the fries were very old and stale, we complained and they were a little rude about it but did bring us a much better buger to replace the first one. All in all this is the worst of the Sarova hotels. The staff here were great though and we especially liked the helpful and friendly doorman Peter.

Service was an example for many other hotels - we were staying in a low floor room when a big party was held downstairs with quite some noice - after one phonecall to the reception it was arranged within 10 minutes to be relocated to another room, no discussion, just service & smiles. Next to that a nice (but cold!!) pool, good restaurant & nice clean rooms.
