Good value for money as it includes buffet breakfast but it is a bit further away from Taipei central.

The surrounding area was rather quiet, lack off shopping outlets. No gymnasium. Some metal dropped off from luggage area hit my foot causing bruises. Filed a complaint, but was not handled tackfully by the management. Breakfast was a total failure. It is a tourist calss hotel. 2 star may be.

The hotel is located in a relatively calm area with a MRT staion about a 5 min walk away. This will prove to be a big plus as the MRT allows economical transport throughout the city. The breakfast is good in quality and the quantity of choices but leans heavily towards Asian dishes. The windows are double paned and cuts down traffic noises a lot but it can still be a problem on the lower floors facing the road. For someone who is a light sleeper, request a high floor and a room away from the traffic noise. I would stay in the Santos Hotel again if I revisited the city in the future

Is a normal average hotel, which is rates good due to the price we had which was not very high for two persons with breakfast included. The hotel is not brand new but is well kept and most important is clean. People are nice and helpful although not all the staff speak and/or understand well enough English. The hotel is located nearby a metro station, three stops away from Taipei main station, which makes going around the city very convenient. The breakfast is not really western style, but you still find bread, cereals, coffee, fruits, and if you are really desperate for scramble eggs you simply have to ask and they will prepare it for you immediately. On the other side, if you are really hungry, you can have a proper lunch at breakfast! We have tried their open buffet for lunch and dinner and the food for very good and for a really cheap price (it was the equivalent of 12 euros each all included, all we wanted).

The location of the hotel is somewhat industrial looking and dumpy. Many stores surrounding the hotel seem to sell auto parts and accessories, motor scooter parts, etc. The merchants take over the sidewalks to accept truck deliveries, count out inventory, and similar. The street is like an industrial zone, not particularly nice for foreign tourists. The hotel staff were terrific: helpful, friendly, and always cheerful.

Very clean and friendly hotel. Rooms on the slightly small side but good value. Good breakfast and approx. NT$200 taxi ride to 101.

The hotel is a very good quality hotel raised to the level of exceptional by the staff. We arrived at 6 am after a very tiring flight from Canada, and they were able to accommodate us almost immediately. We found their efforts (throughout the hotel) to respond to our needs during our stay to be truly extraordinary. We have never experienced this level of customer service in our travels before.

Very friendly and helpful staff, good location (only drawback is that it is quite difficult to find the stop of the next airport bus), excellent chinese-western breakfast buffet, nice evening buffet, free (!) broadband in-room internet-access. Rooms are comfy and clean. The only dissapointment was the extra fee for the use of the sauna/bath: approx. 25 US$ - way too expensive.

A very good value for the money. Staff was very helpful, although we ran into some language problems (we checked in very late and the desk person was unable to locate our reservation-- the hotel made good by giving us vouchers for breakfast for duration of the stay). Two blocks to metro. We''d stay here again.

Even got a red rose on the check in! Wow! conveniently located close to National Palace Museum. Walking distance to express airport buss and subway system. Great for leisure traveller. Away from the business centre of Taipei.

Hotel is good, quite close to the airport and not too far from good shopping, night market and downtown. The room was a bit cramped and the carpet appeared old and stained- not as clean as one would like. For the money, it is quite passable but next time I''d spend more and stay in a nicer place with the family.

Good hotel for short business trip, if you use a taxi, located in northern part of Taipei. Small but pleasant hotel, not expensive.

Excellent value for money, and a LOT better than I expected after having read reviews. Our room, and the hotel interior had obviously been recently refurbished, and was excellent. Great location, only 3mins walk from a centrally located MRT station. The only disappointment was the quality of the free included breakfast, but then again most hotels in Taipei of this price do not include any breakfast at all. Highly recommended, from a frequent asian traveller who has lived in Asia for 8 years continuously.

Bus from CKS airport drops off nearby. Convenient to MRT and centrally located -- but local shopping in immediate area not all that interesting. Free buffet breakfast of quite reasonable quality (Chinese, Japanese and western dishes). Room size ample with all the usual amenities you would expect in a superior class business hotel. Found the staff extremely friendly and welcoming (but then, I found everyone in Taiwan to be so).

Very clean hotel for a good price performance ratio. The staff was very friendly - helped us with a lot of recommends (where to eat, which buses to take, what to see, and so on). They wrote us the explanations and recommendations in Chinese characters down - we could ask people on the road or in buses. Good Location: Metro station is only 4 min away. We would come back to this hotel, if we were in Taipei again.
