Good value for money as it includes buffet breakfast but it is a bit further away from Taipei central.

The surrounding area was rather quiet, lack off shopping outlets. No gymnasium. Some metal dropped off from luggage area hit my foot causing bruises. Filed a complaint, but was not handled tackfully by the management. Breakfast was a total failure. It is a tourist calss hotel. 2 star may be.

The hotel is located in a relatively calm area with a MRT staion about a 5 min walk away. This will prove to be a big plus as the MRT allows economical transport throughout the city. The breakfast is good in quality and the quantity of choices but leans heavily towards Asian dishes. The windows are double paned and cuts down traffic noises a lot but it can still be a problem on the lower floors facing the road. For someone who is a light sleeper, request a high floor and a room away from the traffic noise. I would stay in the Santos Hotel again if I revisited the city in the future
