Sandyport Beaches Resort Nassau Guest Reviews
Service was ok for the money. It depends on which service staff is on, some are better than others.

There"s nothing like having a personal chef (Cleveland) to cook for you at the pink hut.

It's kind of far from downtown Nassau but hopping on a bus doesn't take much effort (just be mindful that they stop running around 6) The staff was very nice and the rooms are cozy, something like being at home. The chef there was definitely the hilight of being at the hotel, Cleveland was the man :)

The staff is so friendly, everyone including security says hi. We even got an upgrade to the rooms with a jacuzzi which is the best way to stay at Sandyport! 2 bathrooms and a full kitchen! We went to the grocery store to buy some breakfast supplies. Note it gets pricey, so stick to basics like eggs, toast--we bought thin sliced whole wheat bagels--butter, milk, butter, fruit; Sandyport provides every kitchen accessory you'll need! They now have a $10 breakfast by the pool, where you can get eggs/toast or pancakes/eggs/sausage or bacon--just don't ask the chef for fruit or egg whites--unless you want a witty retort! Take advantage of the hammocks! About the only slight disadvantage is the distance from night entertainment at Cable Beach hotels as you'll have to cab it since the bus/jitneys stop running shortly after 6:00 PM. And it'd sure be nice if there was a continuous sidewalk to the P00p (I got a flagged with 'inappropriate language' for the actual spelling) Deck over the bridge but again these 2 things are beyond the control of SP.

Overall the experience was good with a few exceptions. 1. We were told that there was now internet access, but given no further details about how it works. 2. When I tried to use the common area workstation to check e-mail I was told that I had to end my session (only after a couple of minutes time had passed) when another person sat down in a chair behind me (as if to wait to get on-line). However, I had been waiting for a couple of days during my stay. When I saw someone at the terminal I went away and would come back to check later. When I inquired I was told that there was a fifteen (15) minute limit when someone is waiting. I did not have a chance to challenge this any further during my stay. I will and advise anyone else to do so in the future. 3. Also, for the future I would not stay in anything less than a room with a kitchenette. Groceries are within walking distance and would help on expenditures for meals if you prepare some yourself.
