Very good hotel and very well priced. Close to everything we wanted to do in Abu Dhabi. Reception seemed to take a bit long for check in and photocopying our passports.

Rude front of house staff. Very expensive should not be rated as 5 star. Wanted full rate for extending 1 night and basically told me to get lost! They would rather argue and haggle and this could be disconcerting to customers who are not used to this behaviour.

Having used the Sands for a number of years and having lived in AUH for several years (1995-2004) it is my hotel of choice because it is real value for money, central, well serviced with excellent, helpful staff.
