A good deal ($159 for 2 nights with two double beds). Room clean and staff courteous and helpful. Plumbing a bit suspect and room could use some maintenance but it was clean. Not a great view but close to everything and for the money good value.

I stayed 6 nights in May of 2012 and found my stay to be quite enjoyable. The bed was very easy to fall asleep on, very little noise coming from within and outside of room. The wifi was VERY slow and somewhat unreliable, but other than that, no complaints. Good housekeeping staff did a great job keeping my room clean and enjoyable. A very good deal for the money. Comparable hotels seemed to be in the $20 to $50 higher priced range. In the heart of downtown, very close to skytrain.

I had a fine experience! The staff helped me with parking although it was expensive. The location was the best part, although it was a fine room.

The hotel is very well located in central Vancouver, about four blocks from Vancouver City Centre Skytrain, direct on the Canda Line from YVR. The staff were very courteous and the room was good value. The place was a bit dingy and the room quite small. Some extra lighting in the room would not go amiss.

Spent one night in Vancouver for a sporting event. The hotel is perfectly situated in downtown Vancouver and only a 15-20 minute walk from the main train station. Price was very reasonable considering the location and last minute reservation. In fact the front desk lady gave us a free upgrade so my friend and I would not have to share a bed. Room was clean if slightly dated.

Just a few blocks (level walking) from subway and fast train to airport. Close to shops, entertainment and business area. We only visited restaurant for breakfast - our "a la carte" order was of excellent quality. I don't think there was a breakfast buffet.

The best pillows I have ever slept on in my life! Location OK, but its what I expected. Room very clean, plenty of choices for food in area and felt safe walking around at night, only downside would be the elevators are very slow.

Puts the mean and nasty back into accommodation. The staff are very rude and uncaring and the rooms are tiny (we payed for a deluxe and had to negotiate to get around). All facilities are charged for (which they don't state), rooms are dirty and the towels were various shades of grey. This hotel is striving for a one star rating and lack the ethics to be a recognised accommodation provider, avoid at all costs.

A fine hotel in a fairly good part of town . 2 features worth noting: a] There is an excellent bar/diner attatched to the hotel. b] There is a railway commuter station a block away .

Hasd a great stay. Our last night there was spoilt by a fire alarm going off at 12;30am and then we couldn,t get back to our rooms as the lifts didn't work. Internal doors had been locked and we were out of the room for over an hour. But overall would stay there again.

Overall a nice hotel in a fairly good location. Easy walk to the waterfront and downtown shops. Close to the Stadium skytrain station. Rooms were large and clean with good facilities. I was in the corner room on the top level and it had huge glass windows surrounding the room offering great views. Will consider again next time in YVR.

Sandman Hotel Downtown Vancouver is a very good hotel, as simple as that! It's perfectly located and the personel is very welcoming. It's calm and clean. I came for an early check-in, and I could have my room very quickly, which I appreciated highly after three days and three nights on a train. The services that are offered are exactly those I expected. Thank you!

Extremely well situated for everything there is to do in the city and immediate surrounds. Breakfast voucher system is terrific. Room was a good size although the bathroom was compact. Lifts very slow and key access system works poorly. Overall well priced for what you get. Would stay again.
