The only thing for us was that it took us quite some time to figure out the driving route to get back to the hotel from the city. I would say that everything else was what we paid for.

Hotel was difficult to find--GPS would not let us load the address. Once found, it was a wonderful hotel--especially for the price. Once there we upgraded to a smoking room that also included a complete morning breakfast buffet. Location next to subway station allowed us to keep our car parked (at no charge) and walk to any place we wanted to see. At hotel, ice machines on all floors out of order, but staff would bring ice as needed.

Great Hotel to access Old Montreal and downtown Montreal without having to pay the downtown rate. Literally footsteps from the subway. 20 - 25 minutes to all Montreal attractions. Very friendly and helpfull staff.

I found the staff to be very friendly and approachable which made feel welcomed. The location of this hotel is perfect as you are at the waterfront and close to the downtown area. I enjoyed the view of the river and the downtown core and having the metro outside the main lobby was quite convenient. I must say that my stay at the Sandman has been the best experience yet and look forward to staying again on the 6th of January.
