Location is just in the Market street and easy acces to the city center. Small cafeteria beside the lodge. However, there are many stranger and knocked in the night, feeling so scared. Even they enter to take out free breakfast. Do not recomend for tourists.

good price, and good location where you can catch a cab, bus, or any other trasportation. However, the room need some special attention on remodeling, and have more amenietes for the guest.

We needed a place to sleep and this place did the trick. Not a lot of extras here but the room was clean and the staff was friendly.

The room was good, comfortable and cheap. The problem with this hotel is what goes on outside your room. The location is convenient but at the same time its in a less desirable part of Market St. Consequently the hotel seems to attract dodgey characters who seem to hang around in the car park. There is security but they obviously dont do a good job. I was woken by very frightening screaming at 5am one night, a crank phone call on another and someone trying to break my door down on another. I would go so far as to say that you stay here AYOR (at your own risk).

It is hard to rate this hotel as it's location is the main selling point. Just a warning that there is a charge for parking. Also, if you can get a room that is not on the ground floor (level 1) it would be better. You are quite exposed to the street life and you have some very interesting people walking by.

It's a very good hotel for travellers but I must say that continental breakfast is not continental!!! you just get coffee and some rolls that are not so good, otherwise is cool, the only thing you wanna do there is sleep and shower because the city is great and you'll wanna spend all day sightseeing! good luck!

Easy to find location, and close to all forms of public transport. Checkin assistant was abrupt. Not the kind of service you would normally get in America. Overall service 2.5/5.

The room that was originally offered was rm 323 and we didn't get sleep the first day. The location is close to the freeway and the room was across the street. Worse, there was some noise coming from the bathroom wall. So we asked next morning to be transferred to another room. They accomodated us by giving us rm 318, which is located on the back and thus quieter. However, the ceiling of this room had visible damage from water leakage. I'm just glad there's no room upstairs. Bathroom looked renovated on both rooms but the carpet looked worned out. It was so-so for the price we paid for. The location is 30minutes walk to Union Square (Market and Powell) but you can take the bus to get there.

Great location - easy access to the city and the wharf area via tram (F line) - has some very good resturants close by - from the very excelent (but expensive) Suni across on Market Street - to a very good South American further up Market Street - to a little cafe - often with local music one block dowm Market St.
