Sai Kaew Beach Resort Koh Samed Guest Reviews
Stayed in the older section. Rooms shared a small terrace in groups of 3. Not much natural light in the rooms, which are fairly small. Nice outdoor showers. Efficient A/C which was cleaned immediately when it started to leak water. Needed to walk through both parts of the resort to get to main beach, but actually the smaller private beach is nicer during the day if you like it quieter. Good snorkelling but not so many rocks you can't swim. No sea lice here as at some of the other beaches. Hotel restaurant good. We were here over new year and found it very overpriced, but I think it would be good value at other times of year. The compulsory gala dinner, which we thankfully avoided as apparently [website] had made a mistake in telling us it was optional, was hideously overpriced. We heard the band performing and they were absolutely terrible, I would have been very angry had I paid to sit and be put through that, and no buffet meal is worth what they were charging.

We had a very pleasant stay here - would go again and would recommend, especially for couples. The buffet breakfast right on the sea front was delicious!

This hotel has a great deal to offer. The location is ideal as it is right on the beach and it is a very nice beach too, best on the island I think. The hotel accommodation varies so you need to choose carefully and you obviously get waht you pay for. I was there for a weekend and was in fairly basic accommodation but is was perfect for my needs and was clean and comfortable. If you want luxury then pay for it! All the staff were pleasant and helpful as you would expect in Thailand. The island is fairly quiet although there are lots of options for eating and drinking - this hotel is at the quieter end of the beach and ideal for families especially those with younger children and couples not looking for a wild time. The resort is a lovely place to spend a relaxing, restful beach type holidayand this hotel is a great option also. I want to go back with my family next time and would definitely stay here again.

Stay here for the location, not for the room. No hot water from the shower, and the toilet came with its own surprise.
