Saddlebrook Resort Tampa Guest Reviews
This was a very nice resort. The rooms are clean. They still have older TV's (no flat screens). The refrigerators are older, designed to hold all the snacks and drinks that they used to sell to you when you stay in the room. Well, they didn't have the stuff in it anymore, but it still had the wire racks that held all the stuff. So it was hard to actually store anything in the fridge. Also, they didn't have a microwave. Plenty of outlets (that's important to a geek like me). WiFi was good. The pools are very nice and clean. **Forced valet service. I don't know if you could have actually parked anywhere yourself, but it wasn't evident. You were kind of forced to use Valet. The valet's were very nice and quick and it wasn't that expensive so it's not too bad, It's just a nice to know before you get there. Plus one night, we got home late and there wasn't a valet available and we had to wait for someone from the hotel to come get our car. It is behind a closed gate, joined with a golfing community so it is very secure. If you're a runner, there is plenty of area to jog around safely. If I was going to visit Tampa again, I would definitely think of using this resort again.

Room did not come with refrigerator. Mini bar was not working and wasn't stocked. The info provided to us by the hotel stated the pool bar was open until 1 am. When we got to the pool at 9 pm (on a Saturday/holiday weekend) it was already closed. Valet parking is NOT optional. You can not park your own car and you are charged $10 a day for valet service. I was not told this when reserving my room. It is very inconvenient as well. The walk from our room to the valet was extremely long and we had to wait a long time for our car. I was also charged 12 per person, per day for wireless internet that I did not even use. I ended up paying an extra $70 at the end of my stay for internet and valet service. The food is ridiculously expensive. $40 for 2 cheeseburgers is just way too much. WILL NOT BE BACK! I Do not recommend this hotel.
