Rydges Lakeland Resort Queenstown
4 out of 5

The kids loved the buffet breakfast with views across the lake, we loved the close proximity to everything! Although the pool/ spa was small, the lake across the road is huge and, weather permitting, be ready for a dip in the coolest, cleanest water anywhere in the world! Excellent value and service.

This is a great location and everything was very comfortable. Ensure that you have a room with a lake view. Good value.

Good location but service and amenities are average for a 4.5 star hotel. In room safe not working etc...

Location and view were fantastic Staff friendly and helpful Room was small and was swamped by the bed with little room left. Very little storage room for clothes and bags Tea & coffee facilities were poor, with only 4 tea bags for 2 people and only mugs no cups. Decor was basic with no style Bathroom was even worse, cracked bath and splash back, dirty soiled seals around bath, extraction fan was useless. No bath salts, bubble bath or shower gel only a bar of soap or small shampoo to wash with. Overall apart from the location this hotel needs a serious makeover and needs to get a lesson on what is expected of a 4 star hotel . Shame as the views were great

Location of hotel was ideal as only a short walk into town, but far enough away to not be disturbed. Hotel and facilities were good, although as we were placed on the ground floor for our booking, its description of 'lake view' was stretching the imagination a bit #obscured by both trees and cars in the car park#. We did have a problem with occupants in the room next to us on one evening, which the hotel staff eventually resolved by evicting them from the hotel, but this wasn't until gone midnight and the individuals did return to their room to continue their 'party' several hours later via the ground floor balcony doors that they had deliberately left unlocked. Given that this effectively 'wrecked' one night of our 3 night stay at the hotel, it is a little disappointing that the hotel have yet to offer any form of recompense/compensation.
