"Very pleasant stay, the room overlooked the racecourse and was within 20 mins walking distance of the town and Polynesian spa. There was no safe in the room, but these were provided at Reception with a personal key. Staff very pleasant."

"The hotel is a short cab ride from the centre of town, quite a long walk, so not as conveniently located if you were wanting to be close to the Events Centre. That said the cab fare is around $13. I was upgraded to a King Bed, the room was enormous with a Spa and on the ground floor. The air conditioning worked well and there was no offensive odour that Rotarua is famous for. Front desk and dining staff were very friendly and anxious to please (New Zealanders are renowed for this)."

"A good quality hotel near the racecourse with good facilities. The room was huge and quite well decorated with a balcony overlooking the racecourse. Service at reception was friendly and efficient. We would stay here again if we revisited Rotorua. Great value for a hotel of this standard."
