Our accommodation was in a studio room. Whilst not overly big it was quite adequate for an electric wheelchair and bathroom was also of good size. Nice comfy bed and room was nice and clean but was rather dark with very little natural light due to tall office view from our window. Nice and quiet for sleeping though. All staff were very pleasant and helpful. The location fantastic, very close to shopping and heaps of eating places close by. Good for a short stay but if we needed a longer stay we would look for something a little bigger with some kitchen facilities. If anyone needed to use a hoist it would not fit under the bed, you would need bed raisers as well.

Was put in a room next to the elevator well. When I asked for a change, I was put in a room above the restaurant. Incredibly noisy. Breakfast was a rip-off at $30. A much better breakfast can be had on the Gold Coast for $10. Overall the value for money was appalling.

Rydges used to be a quality hotel - it's just not anymore. Paying $275 for a room that was small, next to the lifts, has bad room services options, and which now has no in-room films is just a rip off, even at Perth prices. I remember when Rydges was a brilliant place to stay; now it's just a great location with average amenities & quality.

Perfect central location with clean rooms. Lobby and foyer look good, but the rooms and bathrooms would do with a bit of an upgrade. Room furniture is a bit out of date. Wasn't really impressed by the service. The same girl checked us in and out, but she wasn't very nice and helpful, only did what was necessary. The rest of the team might be great though :)

Got scalded by hot water on Monday or Tuesday at 8 am. The reception said the water pipe is being fixed. It was terrible to do business without a morning hairwash and shower. It would have been nice to know in advance or it could have been scheduled to 10 am. The room temperature control was also dodgy. I stayed for over a week so there were some first few days that at the coldest setting, I'm still sweating and the last so cold I had to turn it off all together. I originally planned to see the Sales manager to check out the better rooms and rates for my company's delegation in the future and informed the reception upon my arrival. She didn't take any info or offer to schedule an appointment, just gave me a number to call. (Why is that? I'm already at the hotel). After the shower episode and room temperature problem, I decided to skip it all together. Great location, enjoyed valet parking, housekeeping was pleasant over the phone but due to the above experience + the minimal amenities + inconsistancy in housekeeping, overall stay was just OK and I cannot recommend it for value for money or for special/memorable experience.

I am a regular stayer at the Rydges- it's clean and comfortable but Perth's accommodation prices are ridiculous compared with other states. $300 a night or thereabouts and no parking nor breakfast. Location is an easy walk to the Hay St Mall, CBD restaurant is lovely and the executive room was spacious, comfortable and clean. Pity Perth charges so much, my days of a hotel stay every few months are over.

This was possibly the worst stay in any hotel, that i have ever had. A grossly over priced and very poor breakfast coupled with rude and cheeky bar door staff, not to mention that it took nearly an hour for the valet to bring my car up on one occasion, this hotel has very little to warrant its sky high room rate

My two nights at this hotel were probably the least favorite of any of my stays in hotels. A very rude and cheeky bouncer from the bar outside, and taking the best part of an hour to get my car from the valet did nothing to help improve my opinion. The very expensive ($30) cooked breakfast was awful, i dont think my dog would have eaten it to be honest. There is no way this hotel is worth anywhere near its nightly rate, a travel lodge would be better value

Love the location and the CBD bar below the hotel... shops, cafes and supermarket are within walking distance Only thing that I didn't like was you gotta pay a hefty $38 for valet parking... underground parking in the vicinity was expensive as well

We stayed here as we were going to His Majesty's Theatre, quick walk across the street and we were there, perfect. Really big room, queen bed looked a bit lost, no wow factor but absolutely fine for a night. Did not eat in hotel as there are many good restaurants/cafes a short walk away, i.e. King Street Cafe.

No complaints, just surprises. Hotel location is perfect and for once has a great street front bar and restaurant. Located in the trendy part of town, 5 mins walk to Freemantle ferries. Only niggle is Rydges charge credit card fees on check out and extra tray charge for room service breakfast when you thought the price nominated was the price for room deliivered. Well recommended otherwise.

I would like to express my opinion on the events that happened whilst staying at your hotel. Originally my partner booked online to stay in the Club King room for 2 nights, however when we arrived it looked nothing like it was advertised on the internet. He then went down to ask about upgrading, we were upgraded to a Club Spa Suite for an additional fee after discussions with a few people at the desk. *Friday night we stayed in the Club Spa Suite · My concerns arose when I used the shower, they had not been cleaned properly and to my disgust there were genetal hairs up the wall. I had booked a massage through The Rejuvenators which are advertised in your rooms. They were meant to come at 6:30pm Friday night and never showed up not to mention the next day when they did actually arrive I had to go to the Physio Monday as they had stuffed my back. I am currently 7.5 months pregnant and was assured they knew what they were doing and experienced. He had irritated a nerve in my back and unable to take anti-inflammatory at present I now need to continue to go to the physio to have the problem rectified. I know they are out sourced but considering ‘Rydges Perth’ promotes them I thought I would pass on my feed back. Having to pay $4.50 per bucket of ice when we are paying almost $500 per night to stay in the best room is a bit rich especially when other hotels offer free ice. Having to pay an additional $5 per person to upgrade to a hot breakfast is also a bit ridiculous when we spent so much over the weekend and they still tried to overcharge us when we were leaving, luckily we double checked our bill before paying. Friday evening roughly 8pm we heard a loud smash as if someone had dropped some glasses but thought nothing of it, about half an hour later we left the room (wearing thongs) to head out and to our suprise the floor was covered in chunks of glass surroundig the entrance of the lifts, half an hour ater after hearing the smash! Not very professional considering when we went down and notified the desk they (4 people standing around talking) claimed they were not aware. I would have thought staff would have been checking the floors. (room service etc) Being very sensitive to smells at present I noticed the bedding smelt as though it has been put away wet, like a mouldy smell. The pillows were stained making it look like either the cases had not been washed or the pillow needed replacing. The smell was quiet strong at night with the air conditioner on and due to this I had to sleep on the fold out lounge, which is not very comfortable when you are pregnant. *Saturday night we stayed in the Club King Room Behind the door there was a mess up the wall as if someone had spilt some drink on there and never cleaned it up. The walls could have also done with a wipe down as you could see the dirt on them. When my partner rang to book he specifically asked about the valet parking and was advised you provided it but was not made aware it would come at a fee especially when you are paying $500 a night to stay in one of your rooms. Would have appreciated at the time of booking being advised there would be a $38 per day fee for valet, that way it’s not such a shock when it appears on your bill. Like a lot of people we are struggling and had to save up to have a good weekend away at a well respected hotel. After the experience we experienced at ‘Rydges Perth’ we will NEVER waste our money staying there again nor will we recommend it to any of our friends or family. We were also advised from a couple of other guests they too have concerns which were raised with management so this problem must occur quiet regularly.

We stay at many Perth motels on our escape from our own little country Tavern, and found that the Ridges was very well presented. The locan was great, the rooms as was discribed on the net. We found that the parking fee was too expensive compared to other places. We also found tha after checking our bill, we had been charged for someone elses dining expences. This was dissapointing. We will stay there agian, but probably will not eat thereas the price was unrealistic, and we will check our bill in detail.
