Ryad Mogador Hotel Marrakech

The hotel was very basic, it did not reflect the pictures that were posted on the website. The pool was children size and stone cold! The first room did not have air condition, remote control for tv and i found hair on my pillow (that did not belong to me). I complaint and i got a second room which was much better but still i found some hair in the bed that did not belong to me! The location is good and there is a supermarket just next door open till 10 pm. I'm really not sure why this hotel is recommended when for the same price you can get something better.

The hotel was ideally situated for all local amenities. Jemma I-Fna was a 15 minute walk and the bus station is accross the road. Also handy was a supermarket next door. The hotel itself could require some updating but was generally clean and tidy and good value for money

Excellent location and fantastic value for money. When arriving at Marrakech Airport just catch the No 19 Bus to the main bus station and within less than a minute you are at the hotel. Rooms are basic but clean and we had a room at the front, overlooking all the action. Breakfast was good and very fresh. Supermarket next door very handy, lovely bakery there. Overall would stay there again as you cant beat location.

Brilliant hotel and would definitely stay there again! Were there for 5 nights. Had a room on the top floor with a brilliant view of the city. Bit of a walk to the main square but taxis are so cheap! Handy for buses (number 19) to and from the airport as drop off across the road. Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was tasty, especially if you got there early for more choices! The hotel is above a supermarket (you can look down into it from by the breakfast room) so does have a bit of a fishy smell sometimes, but that's the only negative thing we found!

The location was very central and it was easy to find. The reason why I gave it a bad review was that it was located near a very busy road and it was VERY noisy! It was hard to sleep without earplugs.

Pretty close to the Medina, probably 20 mins walk from central square Djema el-Fna. Inside is a bit weird, especially getting to the restaurant as you kind of have to walk through a shopping centre to get there... like it wasn't designed quite right. Our room was large and rather sparsely furnished (again a design flaw?). It was mostly clean, but the bathroom had some mould and also a lot of small ants. The 2 air conditioning units worked well, keeping us cool all night. Breakfast was one of the better ones we had in Morocco with a nice selection of pastries. Staff weren't amazingly helpful, but weren't rude either.

It was a little difficult getting to the hotel because the taxis kept getting confused with the other 4 Ryad Mogadors in Marrakech. As a hotel itself, it was a pretty good deal. The manager however was very rude.

Well located near the bus station, and a reasonable (30 minute) walk from the main square in the Medina. Reception staff did not seem very friendly, but restaurant staff were fine.

Lower than expected 3 star compared to European standards. No hot water for the 10 days I stayed, just luke warm. Location good and friendly staff.

Using the word 'Ryad' was misleading. A ryad is a small but quaint guest house. This place wasn't small and quaint. I won't complain much, it was fine. A bed a shower and the BBC. It's all we needed. We didn't go to Marakesh to spend it in our hotel room. The price was right - a good time but we got sick of the very french breakfast. They like to eat lots of sweet things for breakfast, instead of my peanut butter on toast and strong coffee. But that's a matter of taste. We didn't find the staff overly friendly and the directions they gave us around the city were poor. They recomended that we take a taxi when we just wanted to walk everywhere. We had to cross several dangerous roads to get to our hotel from the downtown medina. In the end we made a game of it. Sometimes the maid would forget simple things like clean towels and toilet paper. I've certainly stayed in worse hotels in the world and I've certainly stayed in better ones. All in all it's what we expected for the price!

This hotel is great as its just next to the Medina wall and very easy to get around from here to every where. Cheap and very clean air con works ok and beds are nice to sleep in. Breakfast basic but its food. I would stay there again with no problems

- Excellent value for the price paid. - Clean room. Old TV that didn't work well, no remote. - Elevator for the guests is also used for transport of the trash. Annoying smell. - Very helpful staff at the reception.
