When To Go

Spring in Moscow officially begins at the end of March. Parks begin to come alive with warmer temperatures and less rain.

Summer begins in June and lasts through August bringing daily high temperatures of 68-86°F (20 to 30°C). This season is a peak time for visitors to come and explore Moscow.

The fall in Moscow starts with warm sunny days in September and ends with chilly, rainy days by October. When the harsh Russian winter sets in, the temperatures range from 51 to -58°F (10 to -50°C).

Getting There

Sheremetyevo is the main airport that visitors will arrive at if travelling to Moscow. To reach the capital, a taxi is the easiest source of ground transportation. There are shuttles that are available to transport tourists between the airport and their accomodations.

Train trips from Western Europe will take about 36 hours, or up to 24 hours from Eastern Europe. If you come from one of the Baltic states, a train trip might last as long as 15 hours.
