What hotel do you go to where you have the staffs eat breakfast before its guests? It is not worth its $15 for sure. The room was run down and dated. Awful pillow had a neck pain the next morning. Lifts may run when it decides to. For sure it is not worth the $155 that we paid for.

Good location, very comfortable and good value for money Free carparking is a great bonus Railway station is about a 10 minute walk away then only 20 minutes to the City

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Punthill Hotel. Location was perfect and suited our needs and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was most comfortable and ensured a good night's sleep unlike some other places we have stayed at. All in all, could not think of a better value for money hotel than Punthill.

The hotel is far away from train station. When I asked people for direction, no people heard about Royal Pacific Hotel. No wonder, outside the hotel, the name "Punhill" is still used; "Royal Pacific" is only shown inside the hotel. The hotel staff was not friendly nor helpful. She said that since you saw from internet that "Royal Pacific was previously known as Punhill", you should know what you could look up to. Since there was basically not enough street light, we could only take a taxi returning to the hotel; so probably should spend more for getting a better hotel than this. The only good thing it has is the newly renovated room, so it is clean and nice; but there is still some smell left.

Clean, quiet, friendly, well-equipped and conveniently located. Plenty of (free) parking. Handy to Chatswood shopping. Good "continental" buffet buffet breakfast. Very good accommodation for the family traveller.

Like the Punthill Apartments in Melbourne, the ones in North Shore are clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly. Amenities are OK. I liked staying here. My only complaint is the location. It's right in front of the highway and the lights for pedestrian crossing are so far off. It's also 20 minutes by train from Sydney and situated in a residential area and a good 15-minute walk from Artarmon station. Good news is, parking seems to be free. Good for budget-conscious travelers though.

On a busy Highway and rooms at the back still have heavy traffic noise throughout the night. Building is 50+ years old and acoustics are very poor with no double glazing. No in-house restaurant meals at weekends. Otherwise rooms are very comfortable and attractive. Continental breakfast only.

Despite being on the Pacific Highway the room was quiet because of the sound buffer from the corridor. The room was clean. I would stay again.

We simply wanted a place to put our heads down for one night after a party before driving interstate in the morning. Easy to find and access. The room was small but clean, the lift worked well, and parking was available and free. The dining room is closed on weekends. Not the place to stay for a week, but ideal for our purpose. Staff were courteous and helpful. We'd go back again.

Friendly and helpful staff, even when we arrived late and checked out at 5am. Very easy to find. Walking distance to Chatswood Chase. Not far from CBD and short drive to just about everywhere. Nicely renovated - does needs music or TV in the gym. Information provided in the folder (in room) needs updating. Overall a good experience.

Stayed ony the one night but the hotel is well located for anyone wishing to visit on the Nort side of the Harbour. Extremely close to the freeway entrance to the GForehill Freeway to Sydney. Staff were very helpful. The only issue which was out of the hotel's control was that the lift was unservicable due to a storm, which meant that guests had to carry thier own bags up the stairs to their rooms. Barring that, I would stay again.

The room was nice, modern and seemed clean. The bathroom was tiny. The room had been updated but overall some areas of the hotel felt tired. The free parking was a bonus.Met our needs though and would consider staying there again.

Having stayed at Punthill Northshore for 5 nights, I thought the rooms were decent and had the usual facilities you would expect of a hotel. Located 20 mins by train from the centre of Sydney, it may not be the best location for a tourist if you need to be where all the action is but there is free parking and if you are not averse to a 5-10 min walk up hill from Artarmon train station, it is a great place to commute to the city from. I would definately stay here again if I needed a car while in Sydney.

Cheap place to stay in Sydney. Free parking is good. Good location if you are driving, but a bit noisy as it is on one of Sydney's main arterial roads during the day. The cleanliness of this place is questionable and I won't be staying here again because of this.
