Nice locaton and has a pretty clean feel, generally helpful staff, old fashioned rooms with just ok beds, only one non smoking floor. Breakfast buffet is lacking in choice. I will stay here again as it is convenient for a 3 day business trip!

Nothing too flash in the room we stayed. But everything is perfectly adequate. The breakfast buffet is unchanging but impressive. Beds comfortable and clean. Swimming pool a bit murky with leaf debris and the odd insect in it. Staff friendly and helpful. Position could hardly be better, set within very easy walking distance of the major central sites (BT market, cathedral, unification palace, town hall, opera house and post office -- worth a visit inside for the architecture. Definitely stay again.

The hotel staff is pleasant and helpful. The rooms is clean and the location is in the central. There is a shopping centre next to the hotel and walking distance for about 10min to Ben Than market. Overall this is a good hotel, which I will recommend to my friends.

The Kimdo is very well located, but the hotel is in a need of a facelift. The rooms are tired and very early 90s and there is no air-conditioning in the hall ways and lift lobby areas. This sounds like a small things, but it gets VERY hot. Breakfast was ordinary, and the same every day. Whilst there is a large variety of eastern and some western foods, none are particulary good. Here it appears to be a case of quantity, not quality. (I'm still trying to work out exactly who has cake and pate for breakfast). Finally, beware of the massage facilities. The staff seem more keen to perform other services rather than relieve a sore and aching back after a long day of sightseeing. There are better hotels in the same area for less money. I won't be going back.

For a hotel which is only 14 years old it looks a little tired once you get through the lobby. Our room had no view at all. The location of the hotel is its greatest feature. It's whithin walking distance of all the major sites around Saigon. The staff were very attentive and helpful when giving advice on things to do and importantly on how to avoid the pitfalls of some of Saigon's dodgy taxi drivers. We would stay here again but choose a better room.

Whilst being an average hotel and adequate for a short stay, it is seriously overpriced for what it is compared with other hotels in the area. Facilities are minimal and the property is quite old and overdue for modernising.

A great hotel in a central location with good facilities. Unfortunately, sometimes the front desk service left a bit to be desired - it would often appear that everyone (and there were often several behind the desk) was working on your request, but then you would have to check and chase up. Overall though, I would definitely recommend this hotel in Saigon and would return.

Hotel is located in the pricier area of the city, but what you get in return is convienience (there is no subway station in Vietnam) in terms of location, and security (there may be cheaper hotels/motels in other districts, but security is not guaranteed in those districts). Good start for the first timer who is staying in Ho Chi Minh City.

The hotel is right in the action in district 1 with easy walking to great eateries, shopping(including the night market for shopping and great cheap food) and most of the major museums and attractions. The rooms are clean and quiet, a bonus to escape the hustle and bustle outside and the breakfast is many and varried. Well priced for what you get.

Staffs are very helpful for us. It''s good. Bathroom is small and the water of shower is not much, too slow. I''ve stayed 2 nights. The breakfast are same in two days of us. If that has change some everyday, feel make a day happy.

The address of hotel is near shopping zone, it''s nice location. I feel this hotel enough good value.

This hotel is VC owned and VC run! It is run like a government business where the service and quality is low to dismal. A brief summary include: ants in my bed, a wedding party above my room, and the prevention of local Vietnamese person in the hotel after 10 pm (even if they are your friends from Vietnam). There are heaps of hotels in the area (where the Kimdo is). Stay at any of them except Kimdo, if you want a pleasurable experience.

Hotel well-situated in the city. Staff friendly. Beds very hard, but this was remedied with a foam layer played on top of the matress when we made reception aware that beds were too hard for us. Extensive breakfast buffet with charming staff in the restaurant. Free bottles of water every day. As we were there on New Year''s Eve we were invited to a buffet dinner with entertainments to see in the new year - including free photos of the occasion.
