Royal Highland Hotel Inverness Guest Reviews

3 out of 5

I have always enjoyed my stay in the Royal Highland Hotel, Unfortunately this time I was disappointed as our room stank of smoke which clung to our clothes. I mentioned it at reception but they dismissed it. They insisted that it was the positioned of the room and the smell was generated outside. There was no apology or offer of an alternative room. Everything in our case, including some things that weren't worn ,reeked of smoke and had to be washed once we got home . The breakfast was good on choice but still waiting for offer of tea or coffee. On saying that I would stay again but not in the same room.

Could not stay. "Leak" affecting 30 rooms. Cab drivers told us, "Oh, this is an ongoing problem" Moved to Holiday Inn. Disappointment

A well presented traditional hotel with good services. Rooms a little on small size, but otherwise fine. Parking OK. Convenient to city centre.

Beautiful old hotel next to Inverness Sation. Minimal parking available though so it is first in first parked otherwise a parking station round the corner. Would stay again.

Excellent location, good hotel, friendly service. Only one minus: When you check in, you receive a coupon for 20% discount in the restaurant. When we tried to use it, we were told that it was not valid for lunch, only for dinner. This should be clearly printed on the coupon (oral information in a difficult dialect just isn't good enough) in order to avoid except misunderstandings and frustrations.
