Royal Eagle Hotel London Guest Reviews
We wanted a place in London that fit a family of 4. Most places had a limit of 3, which would have meant we would have had to get 2 rooms. The Royal Eagle had a lovely, large room with enough space for 4. Granted, one of the "beds" was a pull-out couch (not always the most comfortable sleeping surface). But it was fine for a few nights, and we saved by not having to get 2 rooms. The building was nice and close to a major train and subway station, so getting around day or night was very convenient!

Undistinguished but clean, serviceable and convenient. Good value for money.

This is a usefully placed hotel, only a block or two from Paddington Station. I had a single room; it was clean and comfortable, though certainly not large -- but I didn't need large. The bathroom is TINY. Advice: ask for as high a floor as you can get -- the higher the less traffic noise. I use this hotel regularly because it's clean, it provides what I need where I need it at a reasonable price.

This hotel provided what I needed: somewhere not too expensive to stay as near as possible to Paddington Station. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom tiny but clean and adequate. One problem: from the street into the hotel lobby there is a steep flight of steps, not at all easy to negotiate if you have heavy luggage (though I suppose a member of the hotel staff would help if you couldn't manage -- but you would have to go inside to ask for help). The breakfast room, on the day I was there, was busy and rather crowded but the breakfast was fine.
